@@fafagbedemah8960 not sure that can be done. Because Games that you bought on your system belong to your account. So you could copy it to the external hard drive but unless it’s a game that is on PS Plus or PSN which you’d both have to have. That would be the only way you could play co-op together. What game is it ur trying to play together. Maybe I could give better insight. Only game that you can do that with is a game called No way out! Only 1 person needs to own the copy of the game to play. But you have to have a co- op player to play it with you in order to play. If that’s the game you’re talking about then yes.

On his console but you can’t play the game in 2 different places at one time without both owning the game. Threw own PS accounts. Unless you have a Modded system. But I’ve never seen a modded PS4. Only consoles that I’ve seen modded was PS3-& X-Box 360 to pull off those kinds of cross play with the same game.

You can't have the USB formated to the PS, if you do that you can't put saved data onto it as I've discovered. An unformed USB works regarding saved data.
