Do the ac lines and plumbing lines mix together or is water heated from radiant heat
@SaveGreenHere5 ай бұрын
Lines are welded together so heat transfers that way. Contents inside the lines NEVER touch each other.

Hot gas coming out of the compressor, not a liquid. Good video, wish more would know about this.

A one hour seminar will be uploaded on this channel on June 1st. It will feature John Borzoni, and hope you find it educational.

Do you know if these type of systems are common with commercial and industrial users and applications? In other words, this is not some kind of uncharted territory, right? Also, do you have an estimate on how much % this saves from your bill? Did you say like 15% from the AC plus possible most of your water heater electric bill?

Very common, just not very common because of many wrong installation practices. Check out their site...... doucetteindustries.com/ We estimated between 10% to 20%, depending on the age of the HVAC system. The older more inefficient HVAC systems, saved more, due to their inefficiencies. In my case, I would completely turn off my water heater at the breaker panel, from the first of May until November end of November, so like 7 months. This of course, being in a very hot climate in South Florida. So easy to say, 60% to 70% water heater savings. Seven months of the water heater totally disconnected from electricity. The other months, it probably made the water heater work less, as the water coming into the tank was already pre-heated. But, this is dependent on the geographical location. The hotter the climate, the more savings, because the HVAC system runs more. It's that simple. You can see a seminar here-----> kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5C9mnyrfc1ln6c

Do these cause problems down the road with Freon leaks and stuff like that?
@SaveGreenHere6 ай бұрын
None whatsoever. The issues I have seen is poor installation, and the refrigerant lines connection AFTER it leaves the condensing coil, which is totally wrong because by then, the refrigerant line is not as hot. You need the heat transfer to occur BEFORE the refrigerant even enters the coil. That not only give you the hottest water, but also allows the heat exchanger to help the air conditioner gain more efficiency, because by then, the condensing coil has less heat to remove, because the heat exchanger already took some of that heat and transferred the heat to the water line. Hope this makes sense.

I have a unit like this installed and in the spring and summer I completely turn off the water heater.
@SaveGreenHere2 жыл бұрын
Yes, areas closest to the equator can completely turn OFF the water heater, and get free hot water just by using air conditioning.

Do you know if those green tax credits cover this kind of thing? Like how people get tax credits to buy a Tesla kind of thing?
@SaveGreenHere6 ай бұрын
Not sure they appear as a tax credit qualifier. You may want to contact the manufacturer. I did another video where there is ample info....... kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5C9mnyrfc1ln6c

so what happen during winter, when your unit has a sump pump
@SaveGreenHere Жыл бұрын
Is your pump covered or insulated?
@martylynchian86286 ай бұрын
If this is so good, why does every house not have one installed?
@SaveGreenHere6 ай бұрын
Unfortunately because the installation is usually not done properly, by tapping into the refrigerant line IMMEDIATELY as it exits the compressor, BEFORE it enters the condenser coil.
