I am a professor of Literacy Studies so hearing the stories of these women made my eyes misty. I had to pause the video. Literacy must be a human right worldwide. The technology shown in the video is truly amazing. China’s writing system is used by Mandarin, Cantonese, Hunanese, etc., speakers so when Fili learns the system, she will have access to a huge range of media. Her future is loaded with optimism, and her support system, family, village, friends . . . and even we viewers, should encourage the family’s efforts.

@ligarowe3300, Thank you. I agree! I can't say enough about Felista (obviously based on all the videos I have seen). I too was a moved watching this video when she spoke about her younger years. I was also a bit surprised about her schooling. To me, Felista comes across as a very intelligent, smart and wise young woman. She navigates her responsibilities and performs tasks with great effort and grace, and she seems to accomplish very much daily. She appears to be a very hard worker and always wears a smile no matter what. That is a gift. She appears pleasant, kind, respectful, devoted and humble. To me, it is clear that Felista has the love and support of her family, her husband’s family and her friends in the Community. I think that she deserves all that love, care and support. I have followed her since she started her channel and have watched her videos from beginning to end. Sometimes I stop whatever I am doing to watch the new video once I get the notification that it is posted. Saying that is to agree with you that Felista also has continuous and genuine support from viewers of her channel from around the world. I don’t usually write comments to postings, but recently I changed my handle just to write my comments about Felista. I say this to convey how special I think Felista is as an individual, mother, daughter and friend. I have a lot of respect for this young woman. I am happy that she took the step to start the channel to share her life as a Tanzanian woman in rural China with her family, and I think it was also with the prospect to grow it to help her financially. She has produced lovely unpretentious content about her family and daily living with the help of her friend and camera person Lao li who has been with her and supporting her from the beginning till now. It is lovely to watch. I have also noticed that she has become more confident etc. I agree with what you said about technology and what that would mean for her future. I also think that having Doudou starting school soon will also have Felista more engaged in learning while she helps him. This will expand her knowledge and prepare her for better options. I also agree that we (her viewers) should continue to give this special young woman all the love, encouragement and support to grow her channel, and to keep her uplifted. I feel like a proud Mama. @@Munger56 those of us who come from Western countries tend to think that schools are the only places we can learn. In other places children learn by watching, listening and actually doing what is happening about then. Felitia and Lau will pick anything up fast because they have good focus. One flare Africans have and probably Chinese is the ability to pick up languages bcuz where they grow up dialects can change within a mile. To much emphasis is placed on having certificates, degrees and diplomas, and what you wear, drive, eat and bank account. a person's character is more important.

If he is Lao Li's god-brother, then Lao Li will definitely have a good idea of his character. Also, if he is willing to be on camera, he is likely to be a decent man. Otherwise, the online backlash will make his and his family lives miserable in China. One also cannot be too picky. Too many siblings can be troublesome; too few just as bad because the care of the elderly cannot be shared.

Personally, I don't think big brother is attracted to Lawu, I think he is attracted to Felista. However, he will never dare to indicate such attraction. To me their is no chemistry with Lawu. They should give Lawu time to get around learn the culture and cultivate a relationship with someone she's attracted to on her own. Big brother did not even ask for Lawu as he walked past the house. Loa Li called for Lawu to come out and walk with them. If someone is in your thoughts they are on your mind all the time especially if they are attracted to you. Just my humble opinion.

Uncle Li is such an amazing 👏 person ❤. He knows exactly the importance of education and how important it is for the kids to go to school. You can definately see that everything is made in China. Those electronic gadgets are well needed for the kids. Felista is very lucky to have Li as a brother in-law. She is in a family that she is able to learn many things that she was not expose to in her village in Africa, and for her to learn their language and culture so exemptionary, is amazing 👏 💖.

May I still request that Lao Li and Xiao Zeng create a video of Felista-Phyllis family life, showcasing her nucleus family, of course, including grandpa. I think most fans and audience would like to see the family unit as a whole - a family portrait. Ugandan Rose had also done that too ! I am also a keen following fan of Rose. I love her upbeat spirit and her sensible role as a wife, mother, partner, neighbour as well as a supportive member of her community in Zhejiang, China.
