I like how Doug shows his hand for max embarrassment on how he played the hand 😄

Someone who's actually good at ring game live cash can correct me if I'm wrong, but just based on what I see, Doug doesn't seem to adjust his strategy enough from online heads-up to live ring, two obviously completely different formats

Yes he does he’s a great player. You think he would be calling from the HJ with 85cc in a 6max online game?

Think sometimes he forgets he’s playing with a full table and resorts to his heads up strategies

I'd like to see an addition to the graphics: two equity percentages; one on the hand alone (player perspective), and one with removals in the calculation (god perspective).

Y'all talking mad shit like Charles isn't capable of putting in $40k with busted spade draw - that's exactly why they showed the clip of him ripping it with 86d in hand 4, for that context. Man has bluffs in hand 43, just not this time.

Title adjustment needed. Charles didn’t own Doug. Doug owned himself. 😢

I don’t think Doug adjusts his game to be exploitative (which is essential in live games), and that has not served him well.

You do realize, you’re giving a Top 50 Live NL Poker Player, advice. - No one can argue, Doug Polk is a Top 50, player. Phil Hellmuth, would say Doug is a Top 50 NL player.

Doug has consistently broadcasted his thinking patterns, style and tendencies so much online that everyone basically knows what’s going on when playing against him. He effectively KZbind himself out of poker.

@@StuartFerguson55 Tell me, how does it work? lol
@StuartFerguson559 ай бұрын
@@IIIrandomIII if you value bet and bluff for the perfect size and at the perfect frequency in every situation then your opponent will lose EV one way or the other if they don't call/fold at the same perfectly balanced frequency. This is how computers beat humans now. If someone is playing a perfect GTO strategy you could literally have a print out of exactly what they are doing and you will still lose to them if you don't perfectly balance yourself. It's slightly more complicated than that, but that is the basis of GTO.
@IIIrandomIII9 ай бұрын
@@StuartFerguson55 GTO only works as long as the opponent diverges from the theoretical Nash Equilibrium… but this “theory” has a huge assumption, it’s that both players must be playing GTO. All this theory goes away as soon as exploitative play comes in and takes advantage of GTO tendencies (which Doug is predominately playing off of), and therefore effectively renders his approach disadvantageous. The problem here is that there is no human being who plays “perfect GTO” (just like same situations creating different max ev evaluations for different players - so theoretically, every human being has inherent exploitation is his own play but I digress), anyway… to put it simply, Doug’s “GTO” is effectively his own style of playing (however such style is justified or explained or whatever he calls it lol). Furthermore, this “unique style”, when widely known, can be subject to exploitation - which brings my point… FULL CIRCLE. Hehe But I love how you just thought I didn’t know GTO, or what the hell was going on, and assumed you had something to teach me. Lol. Keep watching Doug’s videos, bro. Maybe you’ll remember this humbling lesson when you play Doug and beat him. (Assuming Doug doesn’t wisen up and switch tactics!). But, somehow, I highly doubt you’ll ever have the humility to learn/improve (properly) and play higher stakes against Doug. lol. 😜
