This video was perfect for a million reasons, not just DR's playing. Even after 6yrs, people doing amp demo's flat out do NOT get it. I'm not talking about people playing their brand of music. I'm talking about people doing an amp "demo". Out of a giant sea of Friedman (as well as Soldano, Marshall, etc..) demo's, you might find 2-3 of them dialed in that well. Yes, DR is a beast, and that obviously helps. But, that amp was dialed in so well, that even a sh*tty recording of it sounded great. Not some kid who thinks that chugging is why amps exist in the first place, who uses WAY too much gain, with a guitar tuned to the key of rotting flesh.

That' a very nice guitar concept. Strat type with floyd and humbuckers without tone control wich are almost useless anyway with humbuckers. A guitar good for life replacable neck and no useless tone taming electronics

I believe the one to the left is Dave Friedman, the guy who made these amps. Dude is a bit large. I hope he can get that under control, so he can stick around for as long as possible and keep making these amazing amps.

Sounds just like a regular overly bright and much over rated plexi to me.....amps have come along way,why do they still insist on replicating relics at 4 times the price?!?

All of those amps you mention get slaughtered by Friedman, but to each her own. No plexi I have ever played has the clarity, note definition, bloom, decay or tone that touches any Friedman I have played, including the BE-100, PT, and the Runt 20 which I own - A plexi on its BEST day. Got that, "Heather". It's ok though, not everyone has good ears, but maybe you can ask Santa for some?

Wow ! So negative...That overly bright, over rated tone that you speak of is still highly loved by guitarists worldwide. I play Mesa amps that sound wonderful. Bogner as well. It's all personal taste. Even Bogner has the Helios to achieve this Plexi tone. Friedman does this like no other. The Brown Eye is a sweet amp i have gigged with. I am shocked that you'd put it down. That just shows your ignorance. Van Halen's first few records are still the most amazing tones ever recorded. SMH !

I love Eddies old tone but your not really hearing his tone,your hearing it with compression,studio plate reverbs etc.This amp is a one trick pony...great if your in a vh cover band and nothing else.Go find your own tone...Eddie himself has stated many many times how much he hated the brown sound
