Two of my favorites. Both nice and light weight and perfect for summer carry. I went to the beach last week and these were the two I took because they are perfect for carry in shorts and are great slicey blades. Got to slice those limes and lemons for drinks!

I plan on buying the Deka...definately would like deep carry clip. Also, I plan on buying the full size Ritter...solid knife and fantastic cause.

I use a zt 0450 clip on my deka with the stock screws and have zero problems. rides completely in pocket with no problems in or out.

Love my Deka, best factory edge I've had in a LONG time. I've put it to hard use and am totally impressed with edge retention and performance.

I have duplicates of several of my favorite knives (the WE Pleroma comes to mind), in case I lose it! I would NOT want to be without my favorites!

Excellent look at these two! The small bit of extra length, both blade and handle, mean the Deka wins for me. But then I've got big ol' meat hooks. WCK prefers the Mini Ritter.

Well done. The only thing I didn't care for on the RSK was the satin hardware. I exchanged mine for the orange, soon to be dyed denim blue or black.

I already own the Mini and Full-size Hogue RSK-MK1-G2 primarily as my way to support Doug Ritter and Knife Rights I like the reviews I am seeing on the Hogue Deka. Thanks for this comparison.

Hogue, PLEASE,PLEASE make a new 2020 version of The Deka with fewer screws on the handle and a deep carry, low profile pocket clip with no billboarding on it. As well, make a large version of it too(4 inches). If Hogue made these changes and upgrades,I believe they would have a real winner on their hands. I want like all 4. I held the full size Ritter at blade show, but couldn't get it as it was their display model. And though I somehow missed seeing the Deka at Blade, I saw pics and fell for it as well. The Wharney was a surprise and its growing on me, I like the looks of the EX-04 wharney better, but i like the deka handle. I was finally able to hold a Deka the other day but it was through a glove since covid and i know I want one , I just don't know if I want it or the ritter mini 1st. the ritter mini is the issue I haven't held one It looks longer than a minigrip which is a little small i can only get 3 fingers on mine. and if the ritter is big enough for 4 fingers that may be my favorite, but i am still not sure since I could not put the deka in my pocket to test that and all.

the Deka is amazing, drop shutty, smooth, and absoutely zero play ; dont get me wrong I love Benchmades, but I cant seem to adjust the pivot to my liking

If I am a newcomer into the knife community, and the 4 knives I have bought are the QSP Parrot, Ganzo FH41, Rat 2(d2), and a $5 ozark trail knife, what should be the next knife I get? I want it to be a budget knife as well, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on a knife in the same price range that is substantially different than what I have up to this point. I love variety :)

Don't have either one of these although I do have a BM mini grip so I would take the DeKa. Hogue makes a quality knife, I dig their product.

So does SEKW carry the deka and/or some of the other manual hogue knives? Looked on their website and only saw two hogue knives, a fixed blade and an auto.

I think the problem with the RSK clip is that it is too tall. I think that if I get one, and I am thinking about it, I will smash it down a little flatter. I do wish it was black, which would be more discrete.

For some reason, I could never warm up to the shape of the Griptilian. I admit it’s an excellent shape for ergonomics, but I like the shape of the Hogue Doug Ritter-RSK better. I also like the Deka; the Warncliffe blade does it for me, the main problem being that the blade is a little long to be legal in many places, a problem the RSK doesn’t have!

Why didn't you compare the Deka with the full size RSK?

It's between the two sizes. Weight is much more comparable to the mini than the full size.

Good comparison between two excellent knives. Don't think you could go wrong with either. A more interesting comparison however would be the Mini RSK vs. the mini Freek. Of course, the new cf mini Freek is almost twice as much as the mini RSK, but cost aside, it seems like they would match up very well against each other. In fact, just viewing their silhouettes in dim light, it'd be hard to tell which was which.

If I were a rich man, I would buy the Deka, and I'd surely have the RSK. All day long I'd buy a bunch of knives If I were a wealthy man. It's a quarter inch... A Mini Deka would probably be a quarter inch shorter than the Ritter.

@@SliceyDicey No, the Deka is the same size as the Bugout. a Mini Deka would be just under 3" like the Mini Bugout, Mini Grip, Mini Ritter. Apples-to-apples. I just think, with all the "mini's" now, including Mini Freek, they should be matched up together and the big bro's matched with each other.
