In January I'd be digging down thru 3 feet of snow to wack the muely grass down.Zone 6a mountains of BC Canada.Nice to see what grows elsewhere though.👍

I was going to look up the Pink Muhly grass if it can be grown in Alberta, Canada😂now I know!! I would think you could grow them in warmer parts of B.C. though!

Green pennisetum is invasive in CA, but Plant Right suggests Muhly or Gramma grasses as great alternatives. They say varieties like fireworks or purple aren’t thought to be a problem at this time, but I do think they look a bit institutional. I really like Mendocino Grass but I think I’m going to have to hunt for it

I has a zebra grass hedge but removed it last winter as if was not drought tolerant and didn't handle our heat dome of 2021 very well
