5:50 He doesn’t give ChatGPT (direct) access to the files on his computer, he’s copy pasting the code it writes into a file on his computer and he put the .wav file in the same folder. All ChatGPT is doing is adding a line of code that calls a .wav file with the name Doug gave it from the same folder the code is in. It’s up to Doug to put that code there and put the files in the right place, and also run the code

Im a very basic programmer but i think chat gpt can just write the code that accesses the files and cant access files by itself regarding what you said at 5:45

I was about to say the same thing. ChatGPT doesn’t have access to Doug’s PC, but it can write code that can then be compiled and run that could access Doug’s PC. So unless ChatGPT somehow writes code that transfers information through the web to its servers (I think that’s basically impossible for ChatGPT to output), then it doesn’t have any access to Doug’s PC

5:90 thats not how it works. The code itself accesses the file. When it runs, it searches for a predefined file directory and uses the file with the predefined name. The a.i itself isnt looking through his computer for a random sound bite.

25:05 it really isn't doing that good of a job. Doug could have found an already (perfectly) functioning snake game code online in just a few moments of google searching (this is a common and encouraged practice in the coding community) and made all the changes he wanted from there in a tenth of the time it took for him to get to where he was at trying to strangle the AI to get the game he wanted out of it. That was the whole point of doing this experiment in the first place and why he thought it would be content.
