I just couldn't get into Everybody Loves Raymond, but his character in Parenthood, Hank Rizzolli was fantastic, I was relieved that I do love Raymond... just not as Ray Barone. Wish they would have kept Richie's character around, did they ever say why he left?

I am glad that they got ride of Richie in season 2. There was way to much "Joey Tribiani" about him, and I truly hated that character. That's why I loved King of Queens - it alt felt more authentic. I really hated Phoebe and Joey in friends. Made the show unwatchable for me. However 'Ross' was hilarious.

they didn’t get rid of him. he left the show for another show where he was going by to be a main character. the show was canceled after a few episodes so he really screwed himself there
