Really? I respectfully disagree. The waiter did offer to change her order, meaning making a new one without capers or removing them. She then got caught up with the word "change" and demanded she wanted her food the way she ordered it in the first place, which I don't know what means...if she wants her food the way she wanted it, the waiter would need to change her order.

@@miguelvillagrana762 I think you might be misunderstanding english. The order is for food without capers. There is no need to change the order. The problem is the order was not followed. Okay well we don't all come from super passive cultures. A customer is allowed to point out that there was a mistake in what she ordered. She is not obligated to buy something she never ordered. It doesn't have to be a huge deal. If the kitchen or waiter messed up, just fix the issue and provide good service and do your job correctly.

Why does almost everyone say that Carrie is wrong? She is right! Have you ever heard of customer service? In the beginning, she told the waiter that she didn't want capers in her pasta, she said it in a very friendly tone. A good waiter would have just accepted that, apologized and corrected the order, especially in a fancy restaurant. Instead, he starts arguing with her and telling her that the order didn't say she didn't want capers. Totally unnecessary, why does he even start arguing with her? And then he tops it all off by audibly sighing which was just inappropriate.
@macewindau3060

Ah yes, the waiter is not allowed to sigh argument. Yeah maybe in Russia or n Korea where ppl don’t have traditional human rights or freedoms that might make sense, additionally, the beginning is when the food is ordered, not when the food arrives at the table. Is it possible Carrie didn’t want capers & forgot to say that when ordering? Is it possible the waiter ordered it with no capers but the dish was prepared with capers anyway? Carrie making a big deal out of something small is petty & doesn’t help anyone, including herself

I've worked in the service industry and nope, the Carries are no problem at all. It's actually entitled people like you that are the problem: those coworkers who feel entitled to do a bad job, give attitude, do things half-a** and then when a customer mentions that you did not bring the correct order you want to take it out on the customer when you or the kitchen made the mistake. The customer has no obligation to pay for something she did not order. Just take responsibility and do your job correctly. The days tend to go more smoothly that way.
