Agreed. I was putting videos out for a year and half before I got monetized and even after that it took 2 months for me to break the $100 threshold and get paid. I was averaging $70-$100 per month. The algorithm does not favor consistency. Not sure why ppl say that. Yes you should be consistent, but GOOD CONTENT is what the algorithm favors. Anybody can be consistent but it doesn’t mean that it’s being watched or that it’s good. You have to make GOOD CONTENT that resonates with your target audience PERIOD.

This is actually true, i have intentionally tanked channels in the past with bad content that i didn’t want to really get big but for a very small niche audience. I am now completely rebuilding a dead channel with inactive subs but simply focusing on good content for a specific audience unlike before. I was wildly consistent in the past but the content was simply not that good. This is also why you don’t want to blow up before you have a good bit of content posted. Those early binge sessions are amazing for a creator on the rise but you miss out if you go viral with no backlog

She has to continue to bring content that will keep her audience engaged because people will hype you, but will also get bored with you as well. So KZbin is a strange place so to speak, but once you blow up it’s time to become a serious content creator who offers real value, in other words perfect your craft to stay relevant because “just winging it” like she’s doing may not work long term.

You see the reason why she blowing up - cos she is telling people what they want to hear, but were too afraid to follow on action but seeing her and what she says as a testament that “if she can do it so can I”. THANK YOU! I can't stand seeing these videos about a KZbinr where they make it like she just became an overnight success. I totally Congratulate her for "making it" and putting in the hard work but... it's those OTHER KZbinRS that are capitalizing off of her videos, also making her go viral.....not sure why they aren't trying to make THEIR OWN CHANNEL a success??? I went and looked at her channel and I saw VERY CLEARLY where she started getting views in the 1K-2K+ versus her normal less than 1,000 views on previous videos. What I saw: 1. she changed from talking about Door Dash or Gig Work to "the 9-5" and right now this is a HOT TOPIC all over town with the economy and all the layoffs in the last 2 years. Most of America is not doing Door Dash! But Most of America is working a J-O-B so she went more broad talking about that. 2. I also see, her Video Titles = also have a ton of "9-5" in the job title - again, these key words right now are attracting a lot of folks out there who are unhappy at work and are looking for a place to hear someone else talk about what they are thinking that they can't talk about to coworkers, friends or family - she is offering emotional support for this topics. 3. Her Thumbnails - just stating facts but right now the "ugly" thumbnail" is what is catching attention all over KZbin. I say "ugly thumbnail" describing: - the lack of lighting -lack of text on the thumbnail -her sitting in the car (versus some cute youtube backdrop) .......it's UNREFINED, RAW and catches most folks attention because most of us are not rich, we all work some of us multiple jobs, and we are all TIRED. haha.... She's not ugly .....but when you have someone on camera that is not "all polished" with some fancy AI generated images, you WILL catch attention. Most of the time I click on someone's thumbnail IS BECAUSE I see them as a REGULAR PERSON and right now "NORMAL FOLKS" getting on youtube is what is attracting other "normal folks" watching more KZbin. Even I am learning to "get over myself" and hop on camera from time to time with messy hair / not much makeup because I can't always be filming and waiting for the perfect time to film. I am a BUSY MOM and I need to get content out! That's because TikTok has trained us viewers over the years to actually want to connect with real folks, in a normal car, normal apartment, talking to the camera as if you are facetiming .....the polished professional KZbinrs are really best for those that want full fledged business or want to attract high paying clients. OR.....in the case of folks that want to play off aesthetics....sure, you would buy this and that to play into that "aesthetic fantasy" that a lot of us have watching other KZbinrs with all their "beige" crap from Amazon. Those type of KZbinrs are playing into the fantasy of their audience wanting to be "Aesthetic" Dough Dash is NOT doing this strategy, she is doing the "I am a normal hard working person" strategy, showing all the real stuff and the in between, thus connecting with more folks. I personally can't watch most of her videos, she gets too crazy and I am more into watching videos of folks giving direct "how to" information, versus a lot of vloggin in between. So hopefully she will understand to refine her videos a tiny bit and cut out most of the vlogging and talk more about the "real deal" about either Door Dash or making money through KZbin, which is what she started doing too that is also boosting her ratings. Anytime you START talking about KZbin, you will get PEEK VIEWS - heck that's what I am capitalizing no right now in my series of "online side hustles" to start ....but I also talk about KZbin from a Graphic Designer perspective who loves Personal Branding and is building my own Personal Brand BEFORE I start changing up my topic to the next lifestyle topic I will create another series for. everyone out there doing these videos are PIGGY BACKING off her videos (the tags in their video might be like #DoughDash) so then we keep seeing all these other folks talking about HER Videos so they can gain clout on their channel. all this is a combination of FACTS and MY POV But Congratulations Dough Dash, Girl, get that Bag!!!!

This is true. She’s been posting for 4 years and has recently been discovered. Her videos are contagious and will motivate you to do something about your life and that’s what I really enjoy about her. But, she did not have overnight success. She showed up several times when no one watched her vids. She continued and now this is her moment. Either way, great pointers and im glad she is finally getting the big break that she feels she deserves.
