It is not a good idea to buy everything that your kids ask for. I got my boys 4 toys each when they were growing up. If I could not afford something they asked for I told them and they understood. When we cater to everything kids want it does not teach them anything. Try having them donate old clothes and toys to shelters. It is also a great idea to volunteer at a food pantry. Maybe even put together gift bags for the homeless. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season.
