Went to Dudley Town. On the way in dogs were howling in the distance, it was getting dark, eerie vibes. When we got there, everything was dead silent. Pretty creepy vibes. Nothing really crazy happened while we were there though. We hike out, go to leave, my car hits a tiny pipe sticking out of the ground in the parking lot and breaks my radiator. Fluid dumps out everywhere. My girlfriend and I couldnt get a tow truck out that night so we head to the inn at the bottom of the hill. Walk in, chat with the inn owner. They said bad things happening to people that visit Dudley Town fuels their business and we aren't the only ones that ended up stuck there after visiting. While at the inn, chatting with the people in the room next to us, they had been at Dudley Town as well that day. One of them broke out into hives while out there and had to be rushed to the hospital. No history of allergies. Had another friend go there, he got in a carcrash on the way home and then got a phone call saying his grandfather had a heart attack shortly after. Dudley Town is what made me believe in curses / bad energy. Was a big time skeptic before that. Way too many bad things happening to people I've known that visited.

I grew up in Torrington and lifeguarded as a kid in Cornwall -- every day I'd drive past Dark Entry Road, and I went up there before they started really cracking down on tresspassers after the Blair Witch Project came out and really brought the pilgrims out of the woodwork, from all over. One thing I want to share is that in NW Connecticut when you're a kid, and beered up or stoned, youre always winding up tresspassing onto some site with a spooky story around it to freak each other out. There's the Green Lady Cemetary or the Sons of Jacob Cemetary, the list goes on. I'm sure this is typical of any old part of the country-- there's been more time for legends to build up. But Dudleytown, that's all it's own thing. I went there once and we werent like laughing or having fun -- nothing weird happened, but you definitely had this heavy feeling walking around those foundations. It's hard to explain, but even then in the days before they started cracking down on tresspassers, locals generally didnt go there. So maybe part of the eeriness was the weight of realizing most locals respect that it's not a place to go. Once we were up there I kind of wished I was one of those respectful people. There was like a damning feeling about it. Again hard to explain, but we didnt stay long and we didnt go back. The kids who did sort of frequent the place were the gothy kids, up there playing on the place's awful history to do witchy shit. Most prob more edgelords than actual you know... worshippers. But it's scary to me, the idea of even messing w that shit. Maybe that was part of what made it such an ominous experience -- like we worried that being there associated us with those kinds of people. Anyway Im not sorry I went while there was still time. But remembering this does make me feel like I should maybe say a prayer for the late residents of Dudleytown whose tragic memory we went hiking over blitzed for some kicks -- Hah gotta admit I'm a grown ass 6 ft, 200 lb, 44 y/o man and even thinking about it now all these dozens of years and thousands of miles away gives me the creeps!

Love your content. I was a few km into the backcountry and found a paved road "blacktop," no signs or address. Was narrow AF twisty and hilly. At the end was still a dense forest, yet a perfect lawn with 12 cloaked people facing away from us. As soon is we pulled up they all turned towards my car and started walking perfectly synchronized. Fastes reverse turn around i ever made! Creepy stuff in the woods, not to mention the mystical too!

Haha I just looked at the most recent comments and see similar stuff, this is the 2nd video of yours I'm watching. You do have some kind of aspect that I enjoy the way you tell the stories. @@Pushbakgangman I live in the pine barrens in NJ. Didn’t know the history when I first moved here.. long story short, my good friend and I decided to bring a couple beers a hundred yards down the trail behind my house to a circular sandy clearing with a full moon illuminating the whole sky.. turns out that was a bad idea.. my friend was in a wilderness rehab type of program for a couple months up in Oregon and was used to actually living in the woods. We were laughing having a good time around 1am..we heard something that can’t even be described.. sounded like if a tank grew legs and started running In the distance. We both looked at each other but didn’t really think anything of it for 10 or so seconds. But within less than a minute this thing sounded like it covered a massive distance and it was coming right towards us. He just tells me “that is the weirdest thing ever” something like that.. within a couple seconds it sounded like it was right beyond the tree line say 50 yards further into the woods.. the fear I saw in his eyes freaked me out immensely, both of us just stood up and in synch went “let’s get out of here” and started booking it back to the house. The trail back was covered with pine trees and it was completely black on the run back. Dude I’ve never ran so fast in my life . The fact that my buddy was an avid outdoorsman made it even worse. I’ve never heard anything like that ever again. And obviously I never go into the pine barrens at night ,. I’ve also heard weird music very late at night that sounded close to my house.. Dry pine needles on the ground would be loud as heck if anyone was walking but it was dead quiet aside from a soft reggae type of bear playing and it would undulate from the far right side all the way to the far left in a snap of a finger. I had no idea about the theories of music playing in the deep wilderness luring people to their demise in a couple stories. The woods scare me now man

@annatetiad.49919 ай бұрын
@@dougiecorrado no good pace - and I think it's great because you tell the story with excitement. I grew up near this area - it is indeed VERY haunted. Ed and Lorraine Warren used to tell history of the place, and apparently it even has a ghost train (they had a photo). I had been there 3x prior to it being guarded off by the Dark Entry Forest Assoc (now you cannot go there without getting arrested). I had never seen any wildlife...EVER. I witnessed strange behaviour changes of people that were with me, and my friend's husband (a CT state cop) swore someone punched him while standing on one of those foundations - his cheek even blew up. There was a group of reporters who wanted to do a story on Dudleytown (probably in the 80s) and when they tried to stay overnight, got driven out (their equipment all went crazy and they all got sick)

I work in town a few times a year...and will take a hike in the state park when there... its super quiet and creepy on the land adjacent...i cant imagine being on that property... locals and state police are very active in that area. Not many state police in CT... but whenever im in Cornwall theres alwaya one near dark entry, and always one at the state park parking area... its not an area that gets much travelers or crowds, but the locals and cops protect it like a government facility. So intriguing!!

Dude I’m listening to this at 245 with headphones on whilst standing in the bathroom by the sink with the door closed when at a few secs before 34:36 you used a sound effect of “3 knocks” that not only startled me, but i assumed my son woke up & was looking for me so I open the door, no one’s there. My son’s fast asleep. I was about to go ask my sleeping husband wtf those knocks were when it hit me that maybe that sound came from your video so I rewound the video…however, I rewound it a bit too much so by the time the sound effect came back, my mind wandered away from listening closely so when the knocked played, I *AGAIN* get startled & almost opened the door to look AGAIN!!! Then i realized “shit that sound byte was *SO REALISTIC* right down to the vibration you’d hear if you were to bang on it hard like in the clip” My headphones & sound bytes have f’ed me up a couple of times but never *SO INTENSELY” that it even tricked me when I specifically tried to play it back to see if that’s where the noise came from hahaha wow…that was a trip!! 😂

I wonder if Douggie has ever been in the woods. He makes it seem like deer hunting is an African Safri for elephants.😅 All you need is a gun (or bow), which you can borrow and a license. Everything else comes down to you. Patience and boredom. If you get one, you do have to gut it, but after that, there are plenty of places to process it for you. But you'll find if you don't butcher it yourself you might as well go to Walmart and buy steaks cause venison sucks.😂
