I’ve seen people like this once when I was a kid, My dad lived in a cabin in the woods and I would stay with him every weekend. I think I was like 13 or something but a bunch of women in white dresses came out of the woods and walked towards the cabin, then they circled it and shouted and began throwing rocks at it, yelling things like “we know you’re there.” They didn’t try to break in but they were there all day and I hid in my bed the whole time until my dad told me they were leaving and I went to the window where i saw them crossing a large grass field and go into the woods. There was no road or trail there. . To this day, I have no idea who they were and never saw them again.

I am a Feral Mountain Man of the Rockies and live off grid isolated from civilization. I go to town daily to participate in civil activities, help my fellow man, and volunteer in charity. When done I return to my mountains and live in my self sufficient property and home. After 10yrs of living off grid and in the mountains I find it disturbing to be in large cities. I originally was from Dallas and served my time in the US Army, so running a hospital in the big city is not unfamiliar to me, however it is how I choose not to live anymore. That strange man who appears out of nowhere and escorts you to safety when you are lost, or helps you when you are stuck in a ditch, and then disappears, that's me. I guess to a city person I am Feral, however when you step into my world and get in trouble, you will say I am a angel.

My wife said she remembered seeing these dirty kids all ages start climbing out of the wood in front of her and slowly made their way to the truck. Just goes to show that some of us are not prone to these experiences in the slightest. My lack of these experiences doesn't discredit any accounts to the contrary, it is merely anecdotal.

Way back in the 70's a friend and I hitchhiked around the country. A self- ordained minister and his brother picked us up in Tennessee. They had an old station wagon with a hole through the floor in the back. They asked if we wanted to go with them to a car swap. They drove us up a mountain road to a big cleared area. There were loads of people there with cars and they actually swapped them. Anyhow, it was getting toward evening and they said we could spend the night in their cousin's cabin. He was a deaf/mute. It was night when we got there and they roused him by flashing their lighters through the windows. He had a wood stove in the center of the cabin and they said we could sleep in this room where he stored potatoes and carrots. When we woke up in the morning he had made us breakfast with that stove. He had muffins, bacon, eggs and home fries. It was great. I had a suede fisherman's cap on that he liked so I gave it to him when we left. The man with the cabin in the story made me think of that.

Ive had some strange experiences here and there, but feral people hasnt been one of them. That being said..I wouldnt outright say that there aren't feral people out there either. North America in general is a pretty big place. There is a whole lot of very big and dense, deep wilderness here. Alot more than most people really realize. We have whole states here that are pretty much all wilderness. There are forests where you can walk the trails 40, 50, even 100 miles before coming to a town, and without ever crossing a a road even. It wouldn't be difficult at all for groups of people to be living off in the forest somewhere and remain hidden. When you really think about it, anything could be out in wilderness without anyone being aware of its existence. Not that i believe that just anything is out there, but hypothetically speaking, there is more than enough wilderness here to keep pretty much anything and anyone hidden.

I was driving my truck down a country road in West Virginia way back in 1979.. and I picked up this woman hitch hiking.. she told me she was what they call a "mountain mama".. and said she lived in a small community way up in the mountains and how they've been there since the early 1800's and told me how it was all started by a group of mountain men who lived off the land. These mountain men would roam the forests and wooded areas on the outskirts of towns and villages as hunters and fur trappers doing business with the early settlers.. and they would occasionally abduct women and children (mostly young girls) and keep them in their mountain camps as slaves and for breeding.. and this went on over many generations. She told me how they made their own moonshine and built log cabins by hand, and how they grew their own tobacco, and how they used to make their own clothes out of animal hides back in the early days. She told me that to avoid the problem of inbreeding in their community all the mountain men would share the women.. so nobody ever really know who the fathers were or who was brother and sister or cousins - it was just all one big happy family and everybody had sex with everybody and anybody- and how she herself was 47 and had 13 kids (all different fathers) and 28 grandkids.. and how her great great grandfather was actually one of these original mountain men of West Virginia who fathered 53 children during his time.

I grew up far from the Appalachian trail but went on a short backpacking trip with ten friends (we just spent one night on a little part of the Appalachian trail). I remember in the middle of the night I was kept up by the sound of people on the other side of the river laughing and talking. It kind of bothered me in more of an annoying way at the time that they were so loud in the middle of the night but no one else woke up to it that I know of. Less than a year later I moved to Virginia and am still here. It wasn’t till after I moved that I started hearing these stories of people in the woods. I am so glad that night that I didn’t know because it would have just intensified the fear I already had being in the woods hearing strangers everywhere.

I just found your channel, so I have never heard this story from you before. But it sounded so familiar to me for some reason. My father was a park ranger on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which runs parallel and fairly close to the Appalachian Trail. It dawned on me that he once told me of the people in white and how they sometimes lured people off the trail. He was involved with multiple searches for missing persons and often caught glimpses of the people in white. Listening to this story definitely had a sense of deja vu for me, which made it extra spooky for me.

This reminds me of a video by this youtuber. Basically In the video, there was this hiker who came across two people in white on top of a boulder, who followed him through two mountain ranges. First they took his food that he put up in a tree. Second they creepily walked around his camp after crunching on some sticks, with him hearing strange whisperings. After a while he managed to get out of the mountain range he was in and entered Mt Shasta and he didn't come across the two people in white until he was in this really big clearing, where he looked behind him and saw two little blobs of white really far away from him. Scared, he bolted off for miles and miles until he had to stop, where he endured more whispering and walking until they flashed a light onto his tent. Scared, he bolted off and hid underneath a log, watching as they searched for him using a light. He manages to get out of there and reported it to the police who said there were other incidents, however there were no people in white spotted.

The biggest problem with carrying a gun in Shenandoah National Park, even with a concealed firearms permit for a small pistol, is you can not legally enter any building with it. Be it a public restroom, a visitor center, or even a wooden lean to, the possession of a firearm in one of those buildings in a national park is illegal. But in the woods it is fine. Just be careful not to step onto the woods managed by the State of Virginia that surround it. Firearms carried into those woods can only be carried there during hunting season by someone licensed to hunt.

@@michaelgreco1492 I hear that, just saying it would though be so annoying to go to court because someone learned a person had a gun when they registered at a visitor center, or used a rest room. BTW, in VA a CCW authorizes a a perspn tp carry only one handgun, while Open Carry does not seem to set a limit.on how many handguns a person can carry as long as none of them are concealed. There are some other weird legal differences between the two modes of carry.

Stories are not 'fake'. A story is an account of imaginary or real people and events told sometimes for entertainment. The social and cultural activity of sharing narratives (stories) is called storytelling, and its earliest form is oral storytelling. During most people's childhoods, these narratives are used to guide them on proper behavior, history, formation of a communal identity, and values from their cultural standpoint, as studied explicitly in anthropology today among traditional indigenous peoples.

Dude you're absolutely awesome! This is my 2nd video and I'm hooked, spreading the word getting others hooked. From NY Thank You!

Is it just me or does this dude have some of the craziest experiences ever. Are these true stories or is he just a great story teller. Which ever is true, I’m hooked listening to his stories. 😂

You’re kidding right…humans existed without electricity for millennia without developing night vision but a couple hundred years in the smoky mountains and they get magic cat eyes and can track better than indigenous peoples 😂 decent story but clearly fiction

@@sonnyechols5140 In defense this is my first time stumbling across the channel and I was wondering til near the end. It was a great story. Seems I might like to check out others.

All the cuts in this video and the crazy detailed stories makes it seem like fiction.

@WehrmachtsParadise if it has to be explained by more assumptions, it is likely untrue. Occam's razor.

Awesome channel. The view of you speaking makes it it feel more personal. Something about seeing the story teller is cool. These stories are well picked.

IDK I think it was like his wife or whoever is in the room running the cameras and etc but I've never heard that before it's usually just all him talking 😑😱

This was right after some cuts in the video, so I believe it was another person reminding him of where exactly he left off

Great story teller, included the details to keep it going, no short cut off version, loved it!
