Author Douglas Murray believes “preventing Israeli victory” against Hamas would lead to “another set” of conflicts.
US President Joe Biden has urged Israel not to go ahead with such an operation over fears it would exacerbate the humanitarian catastrophe in the Palestinian enclave.
Last week, Biden said the United States would not provide offensive weapons for a Rafah invasion, raising pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Preventing Israeli victory once again would lead only to another set of cycles of conflict,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“I don’t think that’s desirable.”

Really? Here let me be the first one then. What Hamas did was a horrific act of terrorism. That doesn't mean Israel can hold a whole population responsible and commit collective punishment, killing thousands of children. You won't slink away and not address that, will you?

No. The Arabs civilians in Gaza are just that. Civilians. In the midst of a war started by their government. They are not being shunted around. They have been told by Israel of an imminent strike and have been pointed to a safe area. They don’t have to go there. Many of them won’t because they will stay or be forced to stay by Hamas to protect their uncles, sons, cousins, et al. who are jihadi terrorists.

The status quo is not sustainable! WE need to put forward solutions, just as outsiders needed to put forward solutions in Northern Ireland. Thinking of everyone except Jews, as Palestinians, is not helpful. The Levant has been the corridor of humanity, since the beginning of time. All the monotheistic religions have a historical claim to the region, and many different cultures and traditions still live in the region. So a new Constitutional Reality that gives all the groups “Parity of Esteem” and ends the Jewish Domination, whilst still maintaining their rights, alongside the rights of others, is in my opinion the best solution. If we don’t start talking about the possibility’s, their is no future except the cycle of hate and destruction! 🙏
