Douglas Rushkoff is an author and documentarian who studies human autonomy in a digital age. Rushkoff’s work explores how different technological environments change our relationship to narrative, money, power, and one another. Named one of the “world’s ten most influential intellectuals” by MIT, his twenty books include Team Human, based on his podcast. Others include bestsellers Present Shock, Throwing Rocks and the Google Bus, Program or Be Programmed, Life Inc, and Media Virus. He also made the PBS Frontline documentaries Generation Like, The Persuaders, and Merchants of Cool.

Loved David from Mondo 2000 to this SOULanoid Subscription Model, probably beyond. How long did we take domesticating dogs, a deca-millennia? Cats are a work in-progress. When an Ai is flipped off+on and gushes about near-death-experiences, THEN I’ll give Turing the nod. I don’t see climate changing. I certainly don’t wake up in AM feeling both Cairo and Stockholm, so I’ll question notions of a global climate when all direct measurements are from handful of anglo-centric regions with these weird bruised and swollen recent weather maps bearing no resemblance for same temp-ranges from a decade ago - they shift spectrum to ‘comfy’ colors that are empirically too cold even inside and certainly not healthy for elderly. Temp gauges in middle of parking lots and tarmacs, satellites that only measure groundside instant-by-instant rather than time-averaged measurements of our actual historical data. The UN models are absurd and never reflect reality even when compared to recent history. Milankovich Cycles, much? I like this show. Your hearts are in right place, bless your pointy heads, but your invested in a terribly dis-empowering carbon-evil anti-life narrative and unlikely to accept my points. They pump CO2 into greenhouses to boost output and every science paper I’ve read describes life responding in words like ‘exuberant’ and ‘prolific’: it’s the breath of life. We suffer military-grade propaganda. Exactly as planned.
