Isn't a little beauty? I loved the way it sounds. I reviewed the Boyuusound version and just loved it with the Elac DBR62. Fun video.

Hey Gabby. I really liked this one too. I reviewed this amp as well a little while ago and did a few mods. I think for the price, its very nice. 👍

That Amplifier is a whole lot of FUN!! of connected it to some small flat panels and blended with a subwoofer. Very Enjoyable sounds like way more Watts

the amplifier provides 6W+6W output power

There is some conflicting info on the power rating. 6 watts may be a peak rating.

The typical situation with these chinese affordable tube amps, is that they produce an output power not even close to claimed level.

An attractive tube amp, though 3 watts limits compatible speakers. @ $300. (amazon) its only competitor may be the TubeCube | 7 Stereo Vacuum Tube Amplifier @ $230.00

Gaby, a bit off-topic question, but seeing that you have fun with tubes, do you see/have any plans in the "near" future to change the solid state output stage of the TD1 to Tubes?
@Gabster116 күн бұрын
I have tried a few good ones and prefer my special OPA861 configuration. Wider soundstage better Bass and more refined highs. What you can do is use a Tube Preamp or tube amp after. that seem to be a good combo. I use a good tube preamp and a solid state Amp.

It seems that schematics like those of audio output stages of 50's radio apparatus has become non plus ultra, maximum expression of high fidelity!

The Psvane KT88 tubes I ordered years ago were 💩They would never bias correctly and even blew out a voltage regulator! The sound from them were very good, just couldn't understand why they reacted the way they did. And I went through 8 of them. :(
@Gabster116 күн бұрын
Not biasing correctly could be driving them too hard possible incompatibility or design issue should be able to Bias them correctly.
@jacquesw872516 күн бұрын
@@Gabster1 Nothing wrong with the design as I used other KT88 tubes with no issues. I would bias them according to spec and they would continue to drift off. Could never get them to stay put! Very erratic tubes!

I will probably have to disappoint you. You cannot physically build a quality stereo tube amp in that size or for that price. I think you can compare it with one of the cheap chip amps on the market. It would be fun to open it up and see what it looks like inside, but watch out for high voltage inside.😊

Drooling over a small amp does not really tell us anything. A tube amps quality is more or less determined by the output transformer. Some measurements with what output at what distortion would be REALLY helpful
@Gabster116 күн бұрын
You are right next time I will do a Power and distortion measurement. I usually do, I went by listening only this time.
@seaman570516 күн бұрын
What sense does distorsion measurement make, since all this tube thing is based on distorsion ?
@geoffreydebrito265316 күн бұрын
@@seaman5705 If all there were to tube amps was distortion, they would not have the huge # of fans that they do and would only be seen in a museum. What tubes do so well in tonality, soundstage and musicality is seen by many as sufficient compensation for the higher noise floor that tube's distortion imposes. Solid State gear gets expensive before it begins to match tubes in those areas. "There are no solutions, only trade-offs" Thomas Sowell
