The problem with the Chinese made preamps in the past was that the tubes contributed very little to the sound quality outputted. They even had yellow LEDs under the tubes to pretend they were warming up. I use 2 Project phone pre-amp Tube boxes (one for Vinyl and the other for ancient 78 rpm turntable) and the tubes definitely contribute a tube sound that is warm and full compared to the solid state pre-amps I used previously. So, what I'd like to know is exactly how much these tubes with their fancy lighting actually do warm up the sound like the Project phono preamps do. Thanks for any info.

These do worked for real, also without tubes there wasn't audio yeah you can turn on leds under it but also keep them off

The tubes are run at relatively low voltage on the plates, strapped as triodes and run as unity gain buffers at the last stage of the preamp circuit. Opamps are amplifying the phono signal, the tube buffers extend the frequency range so there's no high frequency response loss.

Improve the sound by changing the tubes to this model-- Mullard /EF95/M8100/6AK5/6J1, the improvement is notable.

What is the best way to connect this preamp to a soundbar or will this only work if connect it to a receiver?

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD700's. Ive been using Sound Blaster G6 for many years that many claim is a great DAC but its so buggy and the usb connection so unstable at times that i want to look for something else. How would this compare you think?
