I got one of these. Have it connected to my record player and phones of course playing through Polk ceiling speakers and subwoofer. Sounds just great. Experimented with better tubes and it does make a difference! Firmer bass and deeper sound stage. But! BUT! After a month or so Bluetooth stopped working. Everything else works but no more Bluetooth. Blue LED out and no visible device. Douk claims it's the Bluetooth chip and are sending me a replacememtt chip. Easy to replace. It comes from China so it takes longer than I would have liked. Anyway, Douk Audio has been very helpful and it is a heck of an amp for 160 bucks! Love it even more now after I have brought it back to life all by myself! 😎

Your right it's a great little amp , so you fixed the Bluetooth chip yourself ? If so we'll done there is nothing better than fixing something yourself , I bet it sounds even better now you have fixed it , which tubes did you go with for the replacement? Was looking at getting some better ones for mine , maybe I could do a review on them

@@FatpigeonAudioReviews Douk Audio provided me with the bluetooth chip and how to replace it. Nicely and tidy inside and easy to replace the bluetooth chip. I am going to try with a better bluetooth chip also since the one provlded is good, but there are better ones available also. I forgot to mention that the bluetooth chip supports Apt-X Adaptive which opens it up when I play from my phone also. The tubes I use now are Riverstone Audio - Tested/Matched Pair 7-Pin JAN 5654W Fully-Tested Vacuum Tubes. I have switched back and forth and the difference is dramatic!

This video has helped me decide to choose this X1 over the AIYIMA T5 (w phono pre) Gonna pair it with a set of Maxim's by goodmans. obvs the power rating is vastly higher on the amp vs the speakers... (*/12W speakers, 120w amp) but for the price I can't complain as there really isn't anything like this at this price with a lower wattage output. Thank you so much!

You are funny. Good video. I’m shopping for a Bluetooth amp and came across this video. Question: I’m thinking of making some DML panel speakers for my shop. I originally had a Fosi BT30D in mind. I was going to use a two way crossover and have two panels per channel. I think the Dayton exciters are 20 Watts 4 Ohms. The Fosi has a subwoofer output. Would I be happier with the Douk amp? Or maybe I should get a Bluetooth preamp and use one of my existing amps. I don’t know. Your comments would be appreciated. Oh, I also have a equalizer to tone down the treble on the panels. 160w per channel so 320w in total , i have the f500 from fyne audio and it powers those absolutely fine , it depends on how big a bookshelf speaker your thinking about , to be honest i think it would run most 8ohm speakers , thanks for your comment it means people are watching my channel lol

My problem is When I bought the amp I thought it was made for Jack plug-ins to the speaker, you did not review the type of speakers or speaker wire I have Jenner Litch speakers that are XL.?

im sorry for the confusion within the video , i tried to give the best shots of the amplifier that i could , the binding post are for normal speaker wire and banana plus not jacks , by jacks do you mean rca phono cables , if so i will try and make my video footage of the back of the amp a bit clearer next time and ill mention what cables to use . in future i only use conventional speaker wire for my fyne audio f500 speakers as these are the speakers i generally use when testing amplifiers thanks for your comment its how i learn

This month my douk audio is one year old but now the Bluetooth connection is not working anymore only the RCA and phono i use it.. sorry about my English 😅
