I completely disagree. As someone who is non-binary, (I know Dove isn’t but she’s clearly gone through a journey on how she would like to perform gender within her own womanhood) seeing pictures and videos of a hyper feminine me makes me feel really dysphoric so she might have done it for that. Am I seriously stupid for only just realising this? Her debut album (that still exists) is called alchemical: volume 1 and that the entire album is about her development as a person, who she is and what she has become because the literal definition of alchemical is: a magical process of transformation, creation, or combination. And in her song "gods game" she says "ive been alchemical since I was 15" and I have seen alot of comments on some of her interviews and tributes to cameron (boyce) saying "oh his death really changed her" but this line in gods game says she had been changing since her dad died (may he be remebered honourably). My point is that the alchemical album is about her development and how she got over her dads death(aswell as camerons-all my respect to him too) and how she has dealt with stuff like coming out which I think is a really great meaning and is great to see expressed through music. Correct me if im wrong on this and i would love to hear everyone elses thoughts on this :)
