With how much customization we have in TXR, I'm pretty excited for the full release. I didn't even know there was a level 9 engine unit lol, just goes to show there will be way more upgrades to play around with. Hopefully I'll be able to remake that Pink Alto. im pretty sure modders are gonna do more than just that. given this game does represent wangan midnight and such. someones gonna probably add those cars too. personally id love to see them add a ram 2500 diesel. nothings more scary than a fast diesel pickup truck(mine in a story i wrote for a fan manga of wangan midnight features a black ram dually called black bull. which is a land speed modified diesel pickup capable of 220 miles per hour maxed out)

When your 600cc Kei car smokes the JDM 6- banger legends in a Aupra or Skyline :) I really like that Genki included raceable traffic cars, and I supected that the Toyota truck was driveable with mods :) Someone should do a Toyota Dyna only run :) Hopefully additional cars can be modded into the full version :)

I remember back in the day you could download Dreamcast VMU save files, and there were tons of maxed out money and all cars unlocked save files to use with TXR2. With unlimited money you could make the dumbest cars for zero reason other than you could.

It is but in the game files their are higher ones which you can only access by editing your save file using notepad++ (KingdomTwelve and other creators have made vids explaining this on youtube)

no, usually there's something called progression of rival difficulty and car building that isn't done when you edit your save file

The Shutokou Battle/TXR series is focused on highway racing around Tokyo's C1 and Wangan line (with TXR3 having Osaka and Nagoya as well). They also had a touge-focused racing series called Kaido Battle or Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift overseas which had gymkhana, drift competitions, time attack and of course 1v1 touge battles. If this type of game is not your cup of tea, maybe if this game is popular enough we'll get the Kaido series back. You could also just play the older games though since they had tons of content and a lot of cars.

@@junatah5903 if you want to understand, look up a documentary on "Kanjozoku" ...it's not drag racing and this is not a race track. highways don't have sharp corners. The Japanese street racing scene and car culture is somethin else man and not many games attempt to capture the magic of Kanjozoku. TXR does a pretty good job and let's you drive iconic JDM cars on the real roads you've seen in movies (or real life if you're lucky enough to be in it).
