Dovedale to Milldale Walk | Virtual Hike with a Bernese Mountain Dog in the Peak District

We done the beautiful Dovedale to Milldale walk in the Peak District National Park on Sunday. The walk was voted in at 26th place in the 100 most popular walks in Great Britain.
A few tips. The walk from Dovedale to Milldale is about 3 miles. We walked back the same way, but there are some other options if you do not want to walk the same way. There is a large car park in Dovedale. However it does fill up so arrive early. By the time were were leaving at around 1.30 pm the car park was full. In general my advice would be to start the walk early. We had a very peaceful walk till we reached Milldale with hardly any people on the path. On the way back, it was already very crowded. There are bathrooms and some refreshments in Dovedale and in Milldale.
There are stepping stones shortly after you leave from Dovedale to get across the river. Alternatively there is a bridge (at the start of the video) just after the car park. We decided to take the bridge as I was not sure Olly would be happy to do the stepping stones.

There was a vote to pick 100 favorite walks in Great Britain few years ago. This one was voted in at 26th place. The day before we done another walk which was at 10th place (I will make the video from this walk in the next few days) and I personally liked this walk better than the higher ranked one. Olly loved the walk a lot, especially as there was river there and he could have a drink. Japan is so beautiful too. I am so lucky I had a chance to visit it twice and it is one of my most favorite countries in the world.
