Loved this! Dovedale was one of the very first walks I can remember doing while holidaying in the Peak District for the first time over 40 years ago (every year thereafter up to last year) The pathway along the river dove all those years ago was totally different and quite treacherous in parts until it was transformed to the way it is now - when I was around 15years of age I helped carry a bag of cement as did all that walked that route 😀

Dovedale what a place, green and lush, cool looking lumps surrounding, with the interesting pointy summit of Cloud what's its called?, clear running waters are always special, any wildlife is a blessing to see.. Although the Rock formations are unbelievably awesome... I need to see them up close. Hope I get to visit this year. Thanks for the sharing... Got a number of your videos on Watch Later... Trying to gather inspiration and motivation to get back out.. Videos like these help alot, brilliant and thank you

A beautiful little walk, Joe, and great for a starter if anyone is thinking of getting out there for the first time. When you were looking at the Twelve Apostles, were you on top of Lovers Leap? Another great vlog. Thanks for sharing.

Possibly, I need to do more research into the names of the rocks and features in the valley!

@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson I've been on OS Maps. I think you were. Just before it, there were quite a few shallow steps and a couple of the stands where you can put your camera and get the desired view. Back towards the rock face from where you were, there was a bench, too.

@@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson Brilliant, thank you! Was this a circular walk or just one way
@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson Жыл бұрын
@@DeeDee97 just one way there and back, a circular walk would be double the distance as we only went half way up Dove Dale.
