When Jimi sings, “Hello old friend / It’s been a while / It's me again / We're just prisoners of these times / But it won’t be for long,” I feel like he’s singing to us directly, to those who were once Doves fans 11 years ago and need music like this during what is probably the worst year in recent memory. It’s so good to have them back. And if they do a U.S. tour in 2021 I hope to finally see them.
