Dovo Best 5/8th Edge Touch-Up and Shave Test With 4 Days Growth

Doing an edge touch up on my Dovo Best 5/8th. A little longer than usual but I wanted to show the shave. Stones used Naniwa 5k & 8k finished on French Black Shadow. Test shave with Arctic Lemon soap and splash.

Thanks Robert! Yes, different direction when honing. Some times I will use a couple of “stropping” strokes on a stone at the end.

Loved the honing Joe. I have had multiple sets of synthetics. Shapton Pro, Naniwa SS, but I have settled on the Naniwa Aratas, I really like them. My next set will be Rockstars, they have peaked my interest. That soap has peaked my interest as well. I guess I need to add that one to the list as well. I think you will like the la lune, it’s slow but it gives a good edge. Have a great week.

That black shadow is a great finisher! I have had better luck using the atoma diamond plate rather than the tomo stone that comes with it. Cheers my friend!
