I am constantly amazed at the incredible "amateur'" musical talent I find on KZbin that surpasses commercial media garbage that we are being fed on the radio. It's obvious that current contemporary music is mediocre and is suppressing true musical talent from all over.

Cuz ppl either spend time on their craft or they spend time promoting and marketing. The best ones do both and that's how you hear about them. Otherwise you can't survive the industry without a lot of networking and luck. But the good thing is, there's so much great local talent, you can get cheap tickets or listen to them for free at restaurants etc. And it's really intimate. Not like a stadium tour 😅.

What a voice! Kayla sang three songs in one intermixed mashup not just two - wow! Such a silky voice. She starts out with Tennessee Whiskey at 4:58 then at 5:44 she transitions to Keith Urban’s, Blue Ain’t Your Color, then at 7:22 she starts Etta James’ version of I’d Rather Go Blind then switches back to Tennessee Whiskey at 8:26 then switches yet again to Blue Ain’t Your Color at 8:42 to finish out the song. As usual Dovydas is such a genius to be able to adapt yet create beautiful music with other talented singers who have not yet been discovered. Kudos to Dovydas for the looping and instrumentals (guitar) while the young lady, Kayla, does a beautiful mashup of the three songs. I wish I could buy this mashup as they played it. Three of my favorite songs in one! So awesome!

With the freedom people have today to pursue whatever they want. I would say there is alot more music now. And i guess that is the problem, so much music to navigate thru to find the really good stuff. In the old days pretty much only the talented got contracts. Today anyone can get a contract if they have money and can pay someone to edit a song to perfection in a studio. Find good music everywhere. I was randomly in Poland, Wroclaw. Saw a random Jazz bar, i went in. Found some awesome musicans, spent every evening there :P

This is fantastic! I love how she gains confidence in her voice with every note, and a some point the guitar player smiles a little smile because he realizes they are on to something special here.

Tennessee Whiskey is one of those songs that just move me at my core. It's so simple, yet deep. I listen to many versions of this song but IMO Kayla sings it just right. She begins softly and starts telling a story. I love this rendition of this amazing song. Both of these musicians are so talented. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing ! I have never, ever seen anyone take such a bold chance to mash up different genres of music and create something beautiful such as this. Her voice, the way he strummed his notes to her voice was just impeccable. Her voice was absolutely my blowing and so,so sultry. Well done you two.

This was pure magic. One of my favorite songs, my favorite YT-guitarist and a singer I never heard before but with one of the most beautiful silk voices I’ve ever heard. They talk to each other for a minute and BAM! Magic happened! The lyrics were great too! What a moment to have witnessed there and then…

That gentleman and that lady, just had one of the singular most genuine performances of their lives. They'll remember that forever. And the folk in the audience. I've been one of those people as a bartender, and you never forget them. They are circumstantial, and fate just weaves it so. Something to be said for being in the moment. That was really something.
