The crowd I see, as the camera pans, is not the 50-60 yr olds sitting there, but rather as the music plays they are suddenly the teenagers they used to be, hair flowing, young tight skin, carefree...top down, warm sun, and the same song blaring from the radio. Transported back to a wonderful place in time we all used to be...the magic of music and memories...I know this because I am 60...I am one. Thank you for the brief trip back to a wonderful youth. Don't want to burst it for you, but most of these videos have quite a bit of post production/pre-publishing work done to the audios. If you look at the profiles on an analyzer, this becomes pretty apparent. She's talented, but don't shout out "no auto tune" because it looks like a "random" event. It almost brings a tear every time I experience one of your music videos, Dovydas. Surely, I'm among thousands around this planet who has this happen. Thank you., and thank you to whomever is video recording you these days.

I love her voice. She definitely has a unique tone and I'm here for it. I love this song and she was able to throw her own tone and flair on to an old well known song and it came out incredible.

I've watched a great deal of Dovydas' videos, but I find myself being lured back to this particular one over and over again due to the mesmerizing sound of siren Kayla. It's a pleasure seeing you both enjoying yourselves and giving it your all at this gig in a mall restaurant. Your joy is contagious!

I teared up. I'll tell you why. It is because I looked at the expressions on the audiences' faces. You could tell who was instantly transported back to high school. So was I. Graduated in 1975 makes me, to young folks, an old lady. But watching these young ones play and sing something from our "back in the day" warms my heart. Great job!! Wonderful talent.

Fantastic duo, what a voice she has and I loved the way he set up his backing music, very clever.

This was pretty amazing from the way the guy basically did all the parts and put it together on the spot. This woman who was singing has great timbre, projection and her voice sounds very grounded in her body. She is a well trained singer, that's for sure! You two should get together in the studio and do a cover of this. It was be amazing!

Great musician! He has worked very hard to get that good. Her voice is a gift and she obviously worked hard to develop it. Not anyone can have a pure voice like that no matter how hard they work at it. I’m glad she did. Wow what a voice.

They never miss a beat .... And she's reading the lyrics off of her phone? Fabulous!

She might be glancing at the lyrics as a reminder of the next part, since she said she knew the song.

Except, he couldn’t really play the bridge correctly because he loaded in the verse chords only. But she just kept soaring on the vocal. Really excellent on both of their parts. Great voice, great playing. And it takes a lot of time to set up a one man system like that. Love all around!

Excellent. This song is difficult for most male singers except for Steve Perry. I thought that the female singers have better range to cover this but Kayla hit it out of the ballpark.

The fact she can read the lyrics and nail it makes her amazing!!
@tfriesen38662 жыл бұрын
Too bad that she had to look up and read the lyrics. The song is 30 years old and most everyone knows Journey and the song. Should probably not need to look up lyrics if she says she “knows” the song.
@kristinjayne67202 жыл бұрын
@@tfriesen3866 well that is certainly not true. Do you see how young she is? She’s heard the song but why should she remember all the lyrics? I’ve heard it dozens of times but could never get up there and remember the lyrics much less sing it like she did!
@wordragon2 жыл бұрын
@@tfriesen3866 -That means nothing. I was a teenager and loved this song. I would have to look up the lyrics as a singer whose song this isn't. Clearly, you are not a professional because if you were, you would know the catalogue of song lyrics you have to know is immense without the random popular song requested. The most important thing is that you performed the song with style and grace, which she did. The other thing to note is that she knows the song better than most people who actually know the words because she is emphasizing key notes and phrasing of the vocal nuances correctly and she is transposing it down properly. All things you obviously don't know anything about or you would have appreciated it enough to understand that specific knowledge trumps knowing the lyrics in this context. People will complain about anything is the takeaway from your immature comment.

no it doesnt it makes her a pre setup

This is play acting. They're acquainted, have practiced and she's faking having to refer to the lyrics. Two people just happening to know a song from 40 years ago, before they were born, and they're both well-practiced at it and have a ready-arrangement? They grew up watching Glee and want to pretend life is a stage show waiting to bust out. I'm not buying it.

I like how she made it hers and went low at like 3 min 28 sec. Sent chills when I heard this. She has an awesome voice and as always Dovy absolutely shreds on guitar on this song. I almost can't listen to the original after hearing this.

Every once in a while all things come together for perfection...with that one song, you two hit the perfection mark... rock and roll as it was made to be sung... by two who performed as one... traveled the world hearing rock and roll, very few times a song reaches that level of emotion grip... well done in spades...thank you x10...
