I traded $OPEN a few years ago, glad I got out. But appreciate the video, definitely gonna look into it again! Where I like Zillow and Realtor seem to be the go to, but definitely interested to see how they can disrupt the others.

I think it's an excellent model in strong markets. I just wish they could figure out how to not lose hundreds of millions of dollars when things aren't ideal.

I’m buying open for the short lived optimism alone that will come with possibly 6 rate cuts this year. Long-term, I still feel unsure about this company, especially in a market where sellers are needing to not be under. Offering for 470 cash on a home worth 510 worked in 2022 because sellers were still seeing hundred percent profit and had cash in hand. That won’t be nearly as appealing now that everyone is under on their equity and weighing choices more carefully. I don’t even think the rate real estate agents are charging today is realistic with the current price of homes and equity depletion. This industries in for a wake up. And yes, I am a homeowner who bought in Austin Texas during 2022. Saw My Home climb an additional 60,000 in evaluation and then plummet 100,000. Will I accept an open door offer at 20,000 less than I already depleted evaluation? no. Will I pay real estate agent 30,000 to sell my home that is already at a loss? no

bargain? LOL. go with redfin, not opendoor. ask yourself why has open's mgmt been selling massive amount of shares? i'd be very careful about following motley fool's advice on stocks...
