I was a member of the Boy's Brigade , 1954-1956, in Higher Crumpsall, Manchester, we had uniforms with pill box hats, it's primary role was basic training for the armed forces.

Hello- interesting comment - I was a member/officer for a number of years and never once was any mention made of any connection/training for the armed forces - it is in fact a Christian organization - the advancement of Christ's Kingdom among young people etc - it has nothing to do with the armed forces at all
