Nice table. I would add an LED light bar along the top for better viewing and wire in a switch as you mentioned.
@FabbinAdventures21 күн бұрын
Well luckily my shop is lit pretty darn good so extra light is usually not needed, but for a more dimly lit shop a light bar would be a great add on! Thanks for watching and commenting!

What a cool and practical project! I like how you made the side deflectors fold down for a bigger project to grind on. Nice job!

Yeah its been pretty handy, i've actually conveeted it to a plasma/grinding table now and it works great to keep the smoke down as well as all the dross pieces off the floor of the shop while using the cnc plasma (arcdroid) Thanks for watching and commenting.

I like it a lot. Of course after different uses you’ll think of stuff. A simple immediate thot, get the CFM off the fans and size your vent holes to that. Blade fans don’t cause a vacuum so you want to be close to just slightly large for max. draw. My thot is you will have more smoke draw. Also a dump pan for the dust to collect in. These are just touches that may help. It’s a great design though. Great idea. Thanks Roger
@FabbinAdventures4 жыл бұрын
I think it will work fine, i didnt bother with a dump pan because its not gonna see huge use and will likely only need yearly cleaning. Pull the front panel, replace filters and sweep dust and crap into a dust pan Thanks for your comment!

Thanks Steven! I havent really put it to use yet, but im sure its gonna be a great addition to the shop! Im glad you like the different content, i get into all kinds of different projects, unfortunately youtube doesnt seem to like variety from a channel and they dont promote odd stuff like this on my channel as much as the standard videos. The channel is growing, but not as fast as id like..lol Tomorrows video is season 4 and we got some great ideas and changes that are gonna happen! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great project. Simpler design. Kudos - turner out great. Do you change filters thru the top, or have to take back panel off?

This turned out awesome. Great job. I’m researching making one of these and this is a great resource. Is there anything you would do differently now that you’ve used it?
@FabbinAdventures2 жыл бұрын
About the only mod i would do is make the grinding surface have a magnetic hold for small sheet metal or other projects. You can get magnetic door lock strips and inlay them in the top. Place your steel part down, flip a switch and have the part magnetically held down. I may do this mod yet. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Good Job I need to build me one I do a lot of grinding . But I need to have a vice to hold a lot of pieces I grind so I believe I need to make back and sides taller. any suggestions would be appreciated.
@FabbinAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, what i would change, (and i thought of doing it at the time but didn't) would be an electromagnetic vice to hold stuff while grinding, i may still do that, other wise it works great! Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@FabbinAdventures I’m sometimes a bit slow on putting in remarks...we watch on the tv, so it’s just like you are in the family room with all your “toys” Sometimes we rewatch an episode that we really like....sometimes we binge watch your older episodes....depends on the nite....we try to watch each new episode as they come out....then go backwards in time to those we haven’t seen....Don really loves your ingenuity and “mcGyverness”!....now he knows where I get the McGyver ideas

This is awesome. I'm working on something similar. I'm ducting a heavy duty shop fan and using an old filing cabinet as a starting point. I built a booth out of a fence to go over it. Think there's any issue with using it for painting as well as for grinding? Thanks. Btw I much prefer your channel over the fab series guy.
