Thanks. It turned out that in my new garage is newer electric cables and now it is way better to weld. Like actually so easy after that hustle with that. In that video there was difficulty to get constant electric flow. Never thought it was the case why it didnt work for me. Turned out the electrode welding is not that difficult when you have a good electric flow :D

Great job!!! I like your video! I had learned stick welding when I was 14, 40 years ago. It was just a hobby, projects for myself, friends, relatives.....Trailers, doors, stairs, agricultural staffs and so. I haven't been welding for a long time (I have been working in IT for almost 30 years) . Now I am doing a few projects and I use MIG, TIG but stick welding is great and it was much interesting for me. Esab is the best electrode but please do put electrodes in plastic bag and close it tight, it is good practice because electrodes are hydroscopic and oxidize and after a while weld is not so good. I have to make welding table for myself, I have good workshop for hobby project and a lot of tools, but don't have welding table. Probably I will make use 10mm metal sheet whit 16mm holes. Keep doing good job, all the best!
@MarekKubi Жыл бұрын
Thanks. It is so nice to hear. I heard many IT background guys do welding as a hobby. Very cool. In the future I wish to do TIG welding. This is something intresting for me. MIG is good for productivity and business, but I have time. Plastic bag tip is good, will use that. Be careful with that 10mm thick sheet. It can bend while welding. I had some bendage, which I solved with weld on other side. I think you know about thermal expansion more than me. I suggest to use bolts to fix sheets in place. Have a good time in your garage and enjoy your work ;) For me that welding table project was pure joy.

nice table, I actually like the slotted top, the only problem is with your storage of your welding rod, the flux coating on the rods will absorb moisture, even in an enclosed shop, they are regularly stored in an airtight box or even a rod oven.

Yeah, I am rookie and not looking for estetic yet :D So can somehow deal with moist rods. Maybe will try TIG welding when I will have outside garage and gas balloon.

Dude you really need a decent metal cutting saw and a TIG or a MIG Also you should always grind off zinc plating on nuts and bolts before you weld. Gases given off are very harmful. Just saying
@MarekKubi11 ай бұрын
Yes, thanks dude for your feedback. In place where I did that project, there was bad electrycity. In my new garage it is so much easier to stick weld. Never thought there is such difference in electric stuff. I now will try flux core for next step. Have poor ventilation, so yes I need to use some protective mask while doing stuff like that. That welding table project was pretty much my learning course and of course there are many parts, which is easy to perform better. I still enjoyed it and it is very interesting. In the future I am thinking of TIG welding. But first I need to build a house and bigger garage with proper ventilation. Atm I can do some smaller welding project with equipment I have. Estetically yes I am yet far away from something beautiful.

Everything was good , but you need to practice welding.I am professional welder, bump those amps and keep the rod on thicker metal than move the puddle to thiner metal and keep an eye on arc gap, it shouldn't excite diameter of welding rod.

Yes, thanks for your notice. I now have some practice. Bought flux core machine and will try that on thin metal and to get more estetic look. For thick profiles, still will rock rods.
