Okay, we build our furniture, in most circumstances, with a blend of down and feathers. They tend to go into the back pillows on the sofa. On seat cushions we put them inside or kind of around the foam on the seat cushions in a wrap. Down and feathers add softness. They add a degree of kind of heft, weirdly enough. They're substantial.
Contrary to like fiber fill which will compress and then just never really regain its form, never regain its loft, down and feathers are pretty darned durable. You pick the pillow up. You shake it around a little bit. It kind of regains its shape. And you're good to go. That's why they're so popular. That's why it's kind of a standard thing in a premium piece of furniture to have that.
We work with a lot of folks who do have down sensitivity, down allergies of some sort or another. It is not a... It's not really a fiber-filled. It's kind of a microfiber type thing. The thing that's great about it is it's synthetic, so you're not gonna have to worry about allergies at all. You're not gonna have to worry about the source of it. However, it performs very much like a down. In some ways, it's actually superior to down. We actually use it in our leather pillows frequently because it just holds the shape a little bit better even than a down does.
I think it's a no-compromise thing. If you don't want down in your sofa, you will lose nothing at all by going with this alternative. I think you will have just as good of an experience. It will perform just as well for you. It doesn't change the cost or anything. It's a great option. I would recommend going that way 100%.
