I think with the team and the family there was a total of 22 people. They had a dining room table that just kept getting longer and longer until everyone had a seat. The fellowship was amazing as we prayed together and then made small talk and eventually laughed together. One of my most treasured memories. Let's go down to the river and pray.

A relationship with Jesus is BETTER than religion
@johnjon18234 ай бұрын
@@Woodstock-53 But for a relationship to be alive, to be full one must be also be alive, and to do that as He said: "TRULY TRULY I tell you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood you have NO LIFE IN YOU. He said it was real food, even as they heard Him say it they knew He meant int literally, they walked away because of that, as they deny it today in many places. He did not call them back. So it is that Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament of the Catholic Church is indeed the bread from Heaven. If one is to obey Him one must partake of His body and blood. For He is indeed the Lamb of God. All relationships are based in Truth, the importance of any religion is its proclamation of the truth or not. That makes religion important in having a relationship with Christ as HE IS, not as merely imagined. Remember, even Judas and the Pharisees and Pontius Pilate had a relationship with Christ, and Christ even called Judas "friend" as he was betrayed. So, even a relationship as His friend is not enough, it should be unitive completely.

I think there is something, some 'unstoppable power', in music and this power touches people regardless of their creed or believe. People sing when they are happy, when they are sad, in times of triumph and times of bitter defeat. They sing even in dire times, in defiance of seemingly unconquerable might. People sing when a baby is born, when they get married, when they give their last farewell to someone on the graveside. It is incredible that music even has this 'power' if you don't understand the word of the song.

I am not going argue the technicalities of this piece, I thought it was pretty good and I enjoyed it. What I think this performance points out is that there are still people in America who are very simple in their ways - and that is a good thing. Sometimes we get so caught up in our smartphones and computers that we forget about points in life like this. And in the end I am always grateful to hear groups like this reminding me to look up once and awhile because I might see something beautiful - many thanks :)

They're probably the nicest people on the planet, as well. But, their daily lives are almost certainly overloaded with smartphones, and computers--just like ours. It's not really a self evident fact that simple lives are more satisfying/moral/loving than complicated ones. I think we're the simple ones, only reaching out when the world is no larger than a comment box. People think the good is always simple, (it's not) and nature is naturally balanced, (it's not) where things happen for the best (they don't).

May you be able to taste & see the living word of God the Almighty Creator, & find salvation & eternal life through the Lord Jesus Christ, bcoz no karma can break the cycle of life, but only the live of Yahweh & the grace of Yeshua ha Maschiah can give eternal life. Why does one need to break when one can live eternally in Heaven bcoz Jesus died for us, our sins, but He rose again & is in Heaven, & will be coming for His faithful ones, very soon.

I love the Mennonites and their sweet music as their voices blend to beautifully! I love the people; so GENUINE in their life and ways and words! I met a group at a local park one day and inquired of their faith. The lady told me simply that They were "Christians." I'll tell you what. They are the REAL thing. They put many evangelicals to shame! May the God of love grant them the continued Pease that have in HIM!
