I work with special education in the school system and I think that people with down syndrome or the cutest people ever! They bring so much joy to heart! Not just down syndrome kids but just people in general with special needs! It warms my heart everyday

Thank you for commenting! How wonderful that you help students to be included and supported in their educational journey. Having a positive experience in school and being seen as capable can help people with Down syndrome to build skills for future employment!

The issue is not only low muscle tone, oral cavity size, tongue size,but also motor planning issues. They have to think hard about how to move and then make that mouth move. about 90% of people with ds have motor planning issues.

I would love to have a down syndrome child! I know it takes a lot of work but I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I had a friend who had down syndrome and I've known him since 6th grade. They are so cute!

Just like neurotypical babies, every baby with Down syndrome is different and will learn to talk in their own time. It can be anywhere between 1 and 4 years of age.
@simonwupperl9643Ай бұрын
Some DS children never learn to talk at all. I would say 15-20% based on my observations.

All babies are different and will start talking in their own time, but a general timeline for babies with Down syndrome starting to talk is 1-4 years old.
