A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls KZbin "the U-TOOBZ". Just email him, srsly.

Be careful about completely discounting the ski dagger. The etching looks so good I'd be hesitant about calling it a fake. More opinions and study needs to go into it.

no, not a chance. Spelling Fuhrer instead of Führer is a typical US-grammatical error. There are two mistakes and a wrong signing (missing dot). The "engraving" was typically not done by hand, you use a template.
