You are correct. It is however 100% original pin. I had a few of them but sold them to another collector.

Tom, love the Army with the Ivory grip and the bag. When I was doing the Motel Buys, it was always a pleasure buying directly from the US veterans and finding daggers like that piece and the experience of the direct veteran discovery. I was lucky enough to have a few of these (KC winner 2nd Luft, damascus Fidericus Army, Himmler, Rohm, etc.). Unfortunately most collectors in the future will never have this thrill in the hobby.

I enjoy watching this with a relaxing glass of "Old Barn Owl" bourbon - sort of like visiting childhood again - looking at all the Christmas store windows of things you will never have!

That last army dagger is a beautiful piece. I seen a photo of Gen. Franz Mattenklott with what looked like an ivory handle dress dagger but lord knows if it’s this one. Many German Generals liked to bling up their daggers. I bet if you let the fellow who tracks down marked daggers have a crack at it he could find out. It may be a very special piece.I wouldn’t sell it!

With the Army dagger, I would have went with the sales pitch of "well used and camouflaged", but whatever works. 🙂

The Klass sword at 36:47 is Officersabel # 237 1/2. The flat knuckle bow sword at 34:40 appears to be a Holler Model 61. The last Army dagger with the Ivory grip is 😄🏆🥳🍺

You can write ä, ö, ü also as ae, oe , ue, which is correct german too, only lesser used.

A sidenote: Such narrowbladed sabers with similarities to british light cavallry saber of 1796 can still be seen in Germany, used by , officers' of Historical Militias or Target Shooters Clubs.

Great items i really enjoyed this show. Must have been the taylor swift concert in philly he was selling for his daughter to see. I do like her but would never sell pieces of history for tickets to see her. Rediculas prices

The sword at 21:00 appears to be a Gala degen for Bahnschutz, note the winged wheel on the clam shell. See Angola page 268, paragraph 3.

The sword type is clealy a , Degen', this is german language umbrella term for Rapier, Smallsword, Sport epee and Duel epee. Small writing error,

Galadegen, not Gala Degen. In german language rather long compoundwords are possible.
