It's a classic summer, for sure. Things slow down a bit. An old classic drives up in his old classic, and some... "classic" things start showing up down the cellar.

Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is something of a Luddite.

Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls KZbin "the U-TOOBZ".

Hello mr. Wittmann. The sound your car is a song. when my grandmother bought a home there was a old broken Opel Capitan (1956). It had armchairs, a bonnet, wheels, something of transmission and engine but condition not mint. My father cutted up and sold as a waste it. It was in the Soviet Union 1988 year. Much better that the '53 Chevy you used to drive. 😁 You should take that it to the Johnson's Farm Friday Night Classic Car Cruise and BBQ. Is there any way to clean up those blades, as on the first dagger you showed and should you clean it up? When you put a incorrect dagger back into the scabbard correctly, isn't the dagger portepee then ever tied wrong? You can see how the war is going by the quality of the suppliers product. A video full of good advice. Nice job. Your expertise is priceless.

Fun fact: the Corvette is named after a small warship going all the way back to the age of sail. Corvette class is usually used for anti-submarine actions these days. BTW as an Orthodox Christian that does resemble old Bible covers i have seen. More than likely was the main Bible of one of the Churches itself.

I bought an excellent condition sword once and didn’t fully remove the blade 😮because the price was very enticing 😮The last third of the blade was wobbly 😮. I did manage to remove the bends and it luckily came back to a perfect state where you cannot tell it once had bends. It was also misidentified to an officer but I did find the correct officer who actually had a much better military history 😊

I was at a flea market years ago that a bunch of us collectors used to haunt. Ran across 3 imperial Germán swords for 50.00 each. Lucky I pulled them all the way out of the scabbards as all 3 were broke off half way down the blade. About an hour later a collector buddy of mine came running up to me with them in his hands beaming from ear to ear. I told him I had seen them earlier and did he pull them all the way out. He said why as he slid one out to see the broken blade. He said are they all like that, I said yep. Last I saw of him he was running back to get a refund. This was about 30 years ago.
