I can’t tell you how this video made my day. Had a terrible day at work, come home and here’s Tom with another Cellar Series video. Perfect. These are great. I’ll tell you one thing, it has made me aware of many items I ordinarily wouldn’t have thought of. I go on your site all the time, but mostly looking for specific things. @lraubal98513 жыл бұрын
What an entertaining hour of fun Tom, as usual. I think we all light up when we see a new film from you. The SS tunic looked great...look like original post 42 tabs to me on an early M28 style tunic. The Feldherrenhalle Degen was a delight....I had to laugh...your previous video guest with his lovely collection of tagged Degen. ...when you said to him the bag even says Degen, and the guy said what's that mean? You kinda shot him a sideways glance and said..well ...its German for dagger....lol!!
@WittmannAntiqueMilitaria3 жыл бұрын
I thought the tunic looked good too, but I am sure it will be savaged for the inconsistency. As for the Feldherrnhalle... there was no way we could resist showing that. It's been quite a few years since one has visited!

Why would someone spend $50+ dollars to send a gag gift when you can do the same for $5 bucks? As my thinking leads me, I don’t believe that was the original item sent in the box. A problem with heavily insuring an item is it allows postal inspectors the right to look inside the package to see if the item is worth what it is heavily insured for. Like any business or operation, this is a bright star for thieves.

It doesent matter the condition, I want it to be whole ofc, to have the eagle button etc, even a scabbard isnt important to me, as I allready told my gradfather Stalingrad story, it isnt collection in my mind, its just to have again what I lost when I was idiot and young and didnt care about these things. Theres no way I will be able to give even that one thousand, but somehow Ill manage it, it really means to me, more is not even in the game. If anybody knows plesae help

@thomaswittmann81713 жыл бұрын
Dear Arizona, Thanks for the Feldhernnhalle comments. No, both daggers are original. There are two other known Feldherrnhale's that have the same numbers as another two known pieces. Apparently these numbers were only used for assembly and had nothing to do with the Officers that received them. Thomas T. Wittmann
