i love the daughter, she is such a brainy and kind-hearted kid. She is always doing something to solve a problem...and it's only possible without all these gadgets we throw at kids nowadays.

@30:23 Wow!! That was heartfelt. I miss it ALL. All of it. I was alive, somehow.. now I wake up everyday dead. Seasons don't change within. Trapped.. and thankful there's an ending to all of this.. naturally. Thank you Lord, after all. I shall keep going.. calmly. It could be worse, you know.. but He is watching over me. Love you, Lord. ⚘

At the moment this is the last of the uploads I have available for this series. I am on the hunt for series 2-5 and if I manage to get hold of them I will be sure to upload them to my channel so watch this space!

aww, that's a shame. I was about to ask how many you more you had. Is this because there is only Series 1 on Amazon? I don't think that there will be anymore coming out, sadly :( Thankyou for the uploads that you have done anyway

I am on the hunt for the remaining series and I am chasing a few leads so hopefully I can get the rest because I myself would love to watch the rest. Series 1 was the only series commecially released so has been easy to get that, not sure why they only released one series but hey ho! Of course if anyone has them recorded on VHS and wants to send them in for conversion and upload I would be more than happy to accomdate that as well. Glad everyone has enjoyed watching them again!!

They planned it too big from getgo, pigs, poppeys, cow, flowers, horses.. seemed to be all over the place, and Brian, bossy and yelling..A man with great love for his family though. Lovely children. Enjoyed this very much. Very realistic, this is how life is, most of the time anyway, thank you🤍

"Celeste makes noises in the night" 🤣 I've read the opinions about the character Brian in this series and believe me it is literally based on a true story of a very large percentage of people who go into business based of a dream and end up bankrupt. Most new businesses' fail in the first year. It provides a very good object lesson for anyone who decides to go into business. Do your homework, always have a plan B! Trains? Taxi's. I took the overnight coach and walked when I was broke!!! "

Trouble comes in threes and it seems the family always recoup. The solution to their financial issue is right before them. I'm sure Faith will think of it and implement it. Here in the States, we have a program called "Fresh Air" where inner city kids get to stay with host families who live in a rural environment. I know the real Faith Addis started a program similar to that did she not? I am so enjoying this program! Thank you TV Timelord for this wonderful series. Gives me a reason to binge watch and avoid the hot humid air in the Southeastern USA and most of all, I feel "safe and sane" escaping into the loveliness of it all. :-D Peace ya'll.

The whiny, doomsday husband is irritating. He’s also not a planner. He should have found out who was going to buy his flowers before he started growing them.

l got this far, but seriously, there's not enough veg in the plots to feed the family nevermind sell, and there's no way that field was cultivated with the tiny machine! I know it's fantasy but it would be nice if it could be true. I'd never stick that bloke either!! 🤣

why is the husband such a negative force, and the wife such a positive pulling and pushing force, throughout this series? Patriarchy has been downing the world for too long, it's time to ignore men and bring goodness, sense and strength to our communities, worldwide ✌️🌸🌿

6 episodes in and I still can not find any redeeming qualities in Brian. A truly horrible, bullish man. Let's see if he gets any better in season 2.......
@leschatsdubalcon36015 жыл бұрын
MrPeteswife - Agreed. His wife wrote the books on which this series is based. She must hate him, I guess.
@janhall16414 жыл бұрын
He's got kind heart and he generally comes right but it's his instant, self-indulgent bad temper in response to any setback that is so unpleasant to me.
@mattneillninasmom3 жыл бұрын
What kind of arrogance is it that allows a man to go into the flower growing business, is totally clueless about harvesting flowers while they're in bud, doesn't contact buyers in advance for his product, and thinks he can just show up and have his stock bought then and there....? The man has no vision, no sense, and is a consistent fuckup without even the ability to use basic logic. Don't know if I can keep watching this with such a lose-lose-lose again plot.

@@janhall1641 This man with "no redeeming qualities" seems to have raised three exceptional kids and provided for them As xaaxxxaàZZZâaxin partnership with a good wife. Frankly, I would regard that as a life well lived. Much better than putting up with unconfined bitchiness.

this is the last episode I watched (did not even finished it) Brian is his worst enemy. At every little struggle he is ready to trough it all out. He is losing his temper and being disrespectful to his family by lashing what ever cross his mind. What a bad example for his children.

The house is worth £260000 - and has nil mortgage or they would have failed to make payments on that too. - borrowing money fully secured by a mortgage on the house would be easy as there would be nil risk to whoever leant it to them. i wonder what the outcome will be.

Love the characters. Not thrilled with the writing. Too many holes in the plot. Imagine planting your whole field with flowers and not doing the proper research into how the flower market works.

Even worse is that he is an ex florist that used to buy his flowers from Covent Garden, so he would have known the score with flowers having to be in bud etc
