This is really amazing! Need to replicate this model in rest of the states as well. The way the sewage water is treated is insanely natural ! This model shows how wise use of nature could reap us benefits. Its a perfect example of "Sustainable model of development" as the way in which the sewage is treated & then used as influx to Neel Hauz, holds a key to development of the urban cities alongwith the development of the nature itself (rejuvenation of the waterbody), though with the help of nature. Thanks Down to Earth for such an enlightening video.

That's really amazing. We should do this with all lakes in India.
@abhilashagrawal98796 жыл бұрын
Brilliant. Beats me why, despite the knowledge of such methods, the governments across India are not implementing them. This is so easy to do, does not require much investment and does not run the risk of breaking down like CTP.
@drraghunath834 жыл бұрын
probably space constraints? A potential solution could be to dig the existing lake space deep enough so that the existing place itself can be used for both cleansing & storing the purified water. I'm from Bangalore. Although the local authorities have made okish effort over the past 2-3 years in conserving the lakes, still lots left to be done

Not a good example, claims made are highly questionable and were contradicted by NGT. No tender process followed and is given funding by DDA every year. Claims you need to clean filter media evey year. Not even clear if lake is clean or is just flowing out. Big pool at beginning is not an oxidation pond, it is a septic pond. Can't have such unsightly ponds in urban areas.
