It is obviously a win-win solution. Waste is treated, fuel is generated, methane emission is reduced, organic fertilizer is produced which in turn will lead to nutritional food. Extra income is generated for farmers. These projects should be made viable at any cost. Government must give subsidy for cbg.

There are other sources such as pulses plants, oilseed plants, food residue, and even commercial forestry residue which can yield CBG along with other downstream products. And the potential to generate affirdable biofertilizer should also spur further work as well as analysis at the labs.

Every Farmer should become part of Energy Producer for nation. Every State should compete to Produce more Gas annually. INDIA should have Hydrogen powered Merchant naval fleet of 100 Big ships. Slowly other Alternative fuels like Hydrogen,Biogas,EV should completely replace urban energy needs.

People mentioned Sugar Bowl, but didn't mention the largest Sugar Producer district that is in the east- Balrampur District, maybe they are focused to serve Delhi/ NCR, given the well integrated infra. - This CBG is imperative for the pre-requisite for Green Hydrogen to flourish. It needs GATI SHAKTI approach. - UP as a poor state needs Shutting down of some projects like roads & bridges, to focus on Waste management in Rural economy with CBG & GobarDhan schemes, only then awareness+ integration & socio- economic upliftment can be realised. Currently it is the reverse- Road & DFC much needed, but now must be on hold. Particularly Metros. - Industry & sectors should get the maximum budget. 5600 crores? It's not even 1Bn $... For any such model to flourish...India needs to shift away from Trickle down and allot 5Bn$ as a total in the next 5-6 yrs.
