In Bihar as well as Jharkhand..Vi gives the fastest 4G speeds which is far better than jio and competitive for airtel. It gives nearly 25mb/s average. However the major con that it possesses is that doesn't have VoLTE service which is really irritating as it disconnects internet while making calls and sending messages.

Wow still the old fashioned thinking , definitely jio disrupted the market but what if situation becomes more worse than the past? What if we have to pay 100 or 200rs per gb again? Then you would say jio should also shutdown , there is a thing called competition which should be maintained in the market in order for the consumer to have the best price available , Many people are employed by Vi , in the covid situation where job cuts are going on if the company collapses laks of people will loose their job , and why would other telecom companies will hire this huge number?? Vodafone is itself the culprit of its present situation. Reliance Jio came into existence in 2016, Airtel smartly implemented it's resources and good marketing strategy helped it to become a good competitor. But Vodafone completely ignored contemporary market trends and purchased those overpriced Hutch 3G spectrum. Also late introduction of technologies like Volte, VoWifi, 4G+. In rural areas, Vodafone is a complete waste. Airtel is still improving but VI is just crying like a baby. Also, consider you are a person who is first time going to buy his first 4G sim, you will naturally opt for Jio or Airtel because Vi's marketing and investment team is just lol. Government of India should also be blamed, not this one but the previous ones too. Tax system of India is really unhealthy for investors. DoT and Trai should have tried to make Indian market healthy for Telecom sector but they also ignored. I am 90% sure that Vodafone Idea will fall and Duopoly will take place. I have been using Vodafone for 6 years and it would be sad to see that it will close and eventually the Telecom sector in India would collapse too.

On 4th Aug VI share drops 13% comes to 6rs. Union govt is not wiling to cut/drops the AGR value (govt is already is in debt. and asking more money from taxes in general uses) BSNL is on the edge of shut down it will not take any burden and govt is also keeping away it's PSU's and doesnt want to be part of any business (only incoming). we are already in duo poly telecom system. eventually it will become only one.

But if there are no competitors left in the market, will they ever offer this low priced data? It is anti competitive. Ye sirf network achhe se provide kr de, ho sakta hai bach jaye. lekin ab kuch nhi ho paayega, kyoki VI ka rate increase ho gya hai. 220 ke above recharge pr aapko 1.5gb/day, mai bahut din se 449 ka recharge krwa rha tha, almost 8,10 bar to recharge jaroor kiya hu. I think it is only time before all business industries in India will gradually turn to duopoly or monopoly in future years - be it Telecom, Internet Service, Electronics, Consumer goods, Automobiles and Housing. The Indian retailers need to change their mentality of hoarding/scalping items to sell at highest price and instead invest in long term. Not just Indian consumers, but even abroad like USA will buy necessities for as cheap as possible. What Jio did by giving free internet is typically same thing which every new company in USA does. Offer initial discounts to gain customers, and then try to increase prices to reclaim losses. Bigger established companies understand this and so respond to this by having clear price match policies against such retailers when selling items to not lose a loyal customer for a few extra dollars. Indian companies(even established ones) need to understand that customer loyalty and playing by volumes is key to long term profits and sustainability. *Indian companies are not like Apple to make 90% of profits by selling product to 10% of people.* They have to offer similar incentives or value to customers as their competitors when required to stay in business. What Jio did in mobile market in 2016, and is doing with Jio Fiber right now with cheap plans is to push these small/established players out who don't want to part with current earnings (to invest for future/get more customers). Soon, any company which follows same mantra in other areas like Groceries, Consumer Goods, Electronics, Automobiles, even Housing will bust out all its competitors.
