This has been the best episode and I have enjoyed the entire series. Thank you, we don't talk about finances enough. I love your openness and ability to share about the importance to downgrade when things shift and knowing that it's also a passing phase. If you work together you will come out of it stronger.

Firstly, thank you for you and your husband for being so open with us regarding finances in marriage. The last bit of the episode has opened my eyes to a fact that I have been running away from for a while since Covid with my partner, we need to future proof our lives and Covid should us flames.. I am also very much interested in your spreadsheets as we have been postponing our wedding due to other things that pop up that we didn't plan for, coming in and the money we are saving being used for those unexpected expenses.

The way finances were never awkward in my relationship. Not so long after we started dating my husband was open to me about how much many he has and what he does with it and all of that. It wasn't even a conversation, the information randomly came up in a conversation and we continued with what we were talking about

You are brave to discuss this topic. I can see your husband was not fully at ease at the beginning but he gave such beautiful insights as you progressed. It’s actually still awkward for us. My husband does his best to avoid it. I hold him to his set expenses then afterwards I mind my own business. In the same breath, I also expect him to not look to me after I pay my set expenses. I wonder if it’s awkward when the man earns less than a woman. I love how you brought about scenario planning and future proofing. That’s now serious adult talk. Thank you both so much.

I love what I am getting from this episode and it leaves me both emotional and inspired. I am separated in the process of divorce and finances played a massive role in the breakdown of my marriage (amidst other issues), but mostly what I am getting here is that both parties in this holy union have MUTUAL respect for each other. Mutual respect is the foundation that offers a safe space for such sensitive and intimate issues to be addressed and conquered by couples. Love this to bits. Thank you so much.❤

My fav topic as much as its uncomfortable its always a key factor that we discuss our finances with our partner that we can both see if we getting better or we slacking. Phela finances ended up most of the beautiful relationships and marriages. This again shows the importance of creating and building your partner and maintaining or introducing them to our lifestyle.

Am i the one who feels as if this Couple's series ended way too soon 😭 Please kindly consider atleast last 2 videos for us on these topics . 1. Keeping things Godly (whilst in a rlationship) prior marriage (Celibacy etc) 2. Should one consider pre-marital counseling (more especially gents) even though they're not on plans of getting married soon , this is because i feel like as gents we're often left ukuthi sizibonele cause " Singamadoda " so we'll figure everything out on our own , yet the reality of marriage doesn't go that way .

mmm am thinking of downgrading my lifestyle. i pay rent, utilities and rates and taxes. my partner gives me like R1800 a month and i spend like R8000 just on the roof on our heads, all he does is buy expensive clothes and post on social media, am also responsible for private school fees for my two girls and expenses like food, school activities and other expenses to keep the house run, his excuse i earn more, i earn double his salary and he is not interested in getting a job or getting a qualification. i am now drowning in debt and always short tempered.
