This is ministry 😭. Thank you sisi🙌🏿...the numbers are such a taboo topic, that if you don’t have somebody already on the inside willing to share-you’ll never know. I’m currently still studying (Post Grad in Investments), I intend to further my studies until PhD. However, I also want to go into corporate to gain experience and skills to decide for myself, informed, whether I’ll stay or not. Double mindedness never got anyone anywhere, but I know what I want...I just don’t know if it’s feasible or even practical. It just seems from what I’ve seen, it’s either or and not both. If you see someone in corporate who studied beyond undergrad or honours, they are an old white male. And yes I understand that every path is different. My second question is on negotiation skills. At entry level, how do you get confidence to have a number in your head and negotiate without sounding greedy and perhaps your academic script isn’t the most brilliant, so “undeserving”? And my third one is, how do you navigate growth in a corporate space. I remember you once did a similar video in past and you said something along the lines of knowing when to speak and when not to speak. Keep your head down and work, go beyond the bare minimum. But sometimes that isn’t enough to be “noticed” for consideration. So you have to stand and speak up, so any tips on how you can communicate respectfully and clearly that you’d like to grow further? I know I said a lot, but I really hope you get to read and respond to my questions 🙏🏿❤️. I really do value your perspective of things, you’re genuine and frankly-excellent!

Thank you so much for this video ❤❤❤❤Absolutely inspiring! I'm currently studying BCom Accounting @ UJ. Initially I didn't want to become a CA...I actually didn't know which path to take. But...after my 2nd year, and considering all the hurdles I jumped over and really proving to myself that I'm waaay smarter than I thought and above all I'm a hard worker, I've finally decided to take on the CA route. I'm very scared and nervous but after praying to God about it, I wake up everyday with 100% assurance that the CA(SA) route is mine to conquer! Exactly the motivation I need! Enkosi sis Yolz❤❤❤

I want to take that route as well😭! Is it advisable is to take Accounting in highschool? and more or less how much should your maths average be?
@bulelwankolongwane6660
@bulelwankolongwane6660 4 жыл бұрын
@@liletshabalala2669 I think if you want to develop the passion and to understand the simplest basics go for it. But if you don't have Accounting it's not a train smash you'll survive in varsity. For Maths, it really depends on the institution. So try to aim a lot higher than the minimum requirement. On average for BCom Accounting they require 50% for The extended programme and 60% + for the 3 year course. Then for the Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc - the straight CA stream) they usually require 70%+ for Maths. Work very hard to get good Matric results, make sure your APS meets the minimum. Don't be afraid to ask for help ❤

I personally loved and enjoyed watching this video. I was also in corporate working for a bank and believe me, I got bored and frustrated having to go to work everyday. So I then studied photography and now I'm working on starting my business.

Wow this was very educative sis. I never studied anything related to finance/marketing/Economics in Uni(i was kinda lost😏)now as i watched this video it felt like i was in a lecture room in Uni😹 i really enjoyed though❤️ Question: How do you decide on the amount of salary you want to earn and how do you negotiate that if you’ve never had a job to collate with(never been employed)? Especially in corporate.
