I would downgrade to 8.4.1 first to get untethered JB if your intention is mainly iOS 6 and than dual boot.

@@stargznn actually if you are one of the lucky people having or finding ANY Version of iOS 7 iPhone 5, you can unthered downgrade to ANY iOS version including ANY iOS 6 version due to a flaw. You just need a 5 with iOS 7 blobs and legacy iOS Kit. No dual boot, real fully downgrade (I mean.. you will get the iOS 7 bootloader and boot logo due to the way its used but full storage as its only iOS 6 not 2 iOSes). Thats actually cool if you buy any iPhone 4 which as we know ended on 7.1.2 you can tinker with that around and put it anytime on any version like ios 4 etc. same for the 4S and all 32bit iOS 7 blob devices. THATS the closest if you are not having real iOS 6 blobs or never updated devices. :D
