Å is actually the very last letter in the Norwegian alphabet. It may look similar to A, but it is its very own letter. And the "hard to pronounce" part of Narvik station is the Sami name for Narvik. Awesome video, with you as a story teller i could watch anything!

I had to play that part back in case I misheard it: "The beginning of the Alphabet: Å". That's literally the last letter of the Norwegian alphabet :) We've got the standard A to Z and added Æ, Ø and Å at the end just to make it confusing. Nice and enjoyable video, guys.

Mike, you are a gifted storyteller. Your episodes invite us to reflect on our world, our relationships, and the important people in our lives. You highlight fantastic stories and awesome adventures yet you don't make it about you or solely about the accomplishment. You make it about the journey and how we can all find joy and purpose by discovering our journey and sharing that with someone special. Your relationship with Jess is so endearing that I hope all those with siblings recognize how lucky they are to have the chance at experiencing that bond. And no surprise that train travel is one way we can experience some of that. It forces us to slow down and be present in the moment. It dares us to look out and see the world through a different lens. It encourages us to consider simplicity as a version of happiness. Thank you, Mike.

If you wanted to do this for the Southern Hemisphere, you'd need to take the 'Ultimate New Zealand Train Journey', which is the only way to get to the most southern train station (connected to the mainline, a small preservation railway in Argentina more Southern). It's like the Rocky mountain tourist trains you did in US and Canada. The most Southern station with regular service is Christchurch via Coastal Pacific train.

I really chuckled with a full heart when you said that Å is in the beginning of the alphabet. I mean logically it would be to someone not utilizing Å Ä Ö But they're actually the last letters, ie, end of the road, end of the alphabet! Å would for someone not familiar with those letters, be easiest to think of as a compressed oh. Like the O in 'Porch', 'Pork', 'Orc' or 'Orchard'. A mix of A and O Ä is more like the first E in Beverage, a good example to listen to is that famous clip of Freddie Mercury doing some warmup with the crowd. 'WÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ oh!' A mix between A and E Ö is a harder one to explain, it sounds something like the first E in Earn but without rolling the R. Hope I could make some sense for someone.

Can certainly see the resemblance to your sister. Both enthusiastic and adventurous souls. Glad you both were able to check items off your bucket list. Loved all the content so my thanks to both of you for sharing as always.

Love that you are always so grateful and appreciative of being able to travel like you do, especially when you bring your family along! Every time you end your videos on that note makes me a little teary.

I always love to travel vicariously with you, even when you do scary things that I’d never consider like the rock climbing last week. Glad you’re getting to make the trip with your sister; you seem to enjoy each other and have similar sense of adventure. It’s been fun to see what surprise adventure Jessica plans for your trip.

What a cool video, it’s so nice that you have such a tight bond of friendship with your sister what a blessing. I had that with my mom, and a little with my sister I sure miss them.
