Always good to see Mrs. DownieLive on the video!! Very cool place Birmingham. I've technically worked there, but I've never been there. Dangers or working remote...you don't get to go to all these cool places. Although I did get a trip to Cork, Ireland for work a few years back. What a great city that is!! Gotta add Birmingham to my list. Already seen the one in Alabama. haha. I'm impressed you didn't try to pronounce Worcester. Haha....

I have the accent even though I'm technically not a Brummie. I have cycled most of the towpaths around Birmingham including the one north from the Hanbury marina (except obviously the Wast Hills tunnel - as a cyclist you have to go over the top, cross a dual carriageway which is a bit dodgy/scary, and meet-up with the canal as it exits the tunnel). Its a great way to see the city. I joined the Bicycle Adventure Club for a great way to see Birmingham.

How different this was from Wales and surprisingly far less boat traffic on the canals. Glad Nicole, now an experienced longboat pilot, could come along. I can't figure how they got the boats through that long tunnel without a tow path. Looking forward to Scotland.
