I'm a big believer in therapy. I spent several years in therapy in New York. I relocated to Los Angeles for a few years (I hated it). My therapist there wanted me to look back at my childhood. And I realized that I got what I needed from therapy. Consistently being in therapy began to redundant. I felt that if I didn't put the things I got from therapy into practice.....it would be like being on an endless treadmill. That said, its been years since I did it. BUT I'm a big believer. I don't wear baseball caps so its nice to see knit WRTH caps but I didn't see any on your site. Advise! As always, your work is extremely fortifying.

I've mapped out the perfect Amtrak journey, which accomplishes nothing, other than going for a train ride, seeing the country and burning up a week's worth of time, LOL. Leg 1: Coast Starlight Souhtbound to Sacramento. Leg 2: California Zephyr from Sacramento to Galesburg, IL Leg 3: SW Chief from Galesburg, IL to LA. Leg 4: Coast Starlight north back to your starting point As for a sleeper car, the most bang for the buck is doing a roomette on the SW Chief. The cost is lower on that train, plus you are in the sleeper car longer This is the only routing you can take in the western half of the US and make a big circle without spending the night in a city (off the train). As long as the trains aren't terribly late arriving in Sacremento, Galesburg and LA, there should be plenty of time to catch the outbound train.

Wow! That sounds like a great route. Are you planning on doing it anytime soon?

@@DownieLive It's a trip I've been wanting to do over the Christmas break holiday for the last few years. I work for a school district and get a few days off work during the holidays, and with school being out, there's very little work to do, so I take a few other days off and make it a longer break. I'm very tempted to do it this year. The minor annoyance is how the rates are drastically different on various days of the week, over double the cost in some cases.

In Austin the Omlettry is the best place for breakfast. Chuy's is the best Tex/Mex around.

I saw Chuy’s but I didn’t get to try it. These trips are never long enough. I’ll have to go back. Thanks for the recommendations.

@@DownieLive Chuy's are in several mid-western & Southern states. Closest one to me is in Kansas City, Mo. . So, you check out any good live music venues while in Austin?

@@DownieLive Thanks for understanding the snideness of my comment and my feeble attempt at humor (humour?). I went through your home town of Vancouver in August on my way to and from Victoria. I cross north of the line at least once a year now. Ça me plaît. I haven't been to Vancouver itself since the Gay Games in 1990. Trop longtemps. BTW, thanks again for pronouncing Minot correctly. If you had tried to make that trip in June or July of 2011, it would have been impossible since about a third of the City of Minot was destroyed in a flood and no trains were able to make it through.
