This is so helpful! My previous method was to do a screen recording of the song, send it to my computer, extract the audio, edit, get it back into Insta and then have to match up the song again. This is far simpler 😁

I’m also noticing the audio is being cut off on instasave to 20 seconds when the audio length is much more on IG. Is there a way to fix that issue? Can I use this feature when scheduling posts via a scheduling tool or can it just be done manually?

Another banger just at the right time, thanks Dylan! Oh, btw do you have a video showing how to back up lut's and plugins, so you can do a fresh installation of FCP? Searched and almost all videos are just for project files, but not like 3rd party files.

Happy to help! Hmm I don't 🤔 But I'm pretty sure so long as the plugins are on your computer and in the right folder, they'll connect to your new version of FCP immediately.

That's odd. You should be able to install FCP and have your plugins sitting in the correct folder in that 'motion templates' folder@@IMlab

Dylan - Sorry for being off-topic and not sure if you have videos on this yet, but when I use MASKING with the Ken Burns effect to try to zoom into a video to make it look cool, it is so slow and makes it look weird and off-beat to a song. I don't know how to speed the zoom up. Not sure if that makes sense but I'd be glad to email or DM more info about it.

Hi Dylan, Thanks for sharing another great tip.... I have a doubt! Is it possible after finishing exporting a video in FCPX, along with the visual alert in the top right corner... add a sound to notify you that the video has been exported? It would be perfect to be able to stay away from the Mac and listen to a completed signal or even receive it at the same time on my iPhone connected to the Macbook it's possible ? I think it's along the lines of - Instagram take the rights to the music with consent of the artist, meaning users get to freely use it without consequences. Sometimes music will be removed tho at a later date, if the licence changes between the artist and Instagram 👍🏻 (It's also added promotion of their tracks and make the artist more discoverable 😎)

The artist is partly posting their music on Reels to go viral. By following the process I mentioned, you're giving credit to the original artist with the song tag that's placed at the bottom of your Reel. Trust me, no artist will be upset that you used their song and tagged them and the song name in your video. It's free marketing.

great tip but what more you can do is edit the idea as per you mentioned then when exporting just export with the sound designs. and later in the music control setting in reels, just increase the camera sound till you are satisfied.

I see a lot of post with trending audio but they don’t use it from the platform. Ie they would edit with trending audio and just post. There is no need to search for that same music again just to be tagged.
