It's been recommended to me that prior to uninstalling any application that it is wise to clear the data for that app, in this case Downloader, prior to effecting an uninstall. Otherwise you may encounter the same issue that causes you to uninstall. About parsing error messages. In the past, a work around for that when trying to install an application was to go into System files and delete any and all information relative to the application, then try to reinstall again. So if you fail to clear data prior to uninstalling, it may leave remnants of the app in System settings. I'm open to any clarification(s).

There is another thing if you get unkown error has occurred clear the data from downloader in manage installed applications find downloader in the list then clear data then load then you should get a message asking to allow access to storage or photos for downloader you must allow access. This message does not always appear on the first run of downloader. As free tech says its related to permissions.

I've been getting the error message. Looked in install unknown apps and it was switched on. But went in to apps, clicked on downloader and looked at permissions. Files and media was not allowed. Beneath it said remove permissions if app isn't used. I've now turned that off too. Going to get IP vanish now with the link. Thanks for the videos

Since the update of downloader, mine won't connect while I'm using a vpn. Turn the vpn off & it downloads fine. Same thing on my fire sticks & Android tv..

ive had an issue where i download a file via downloader but . where it worked in past the same file is now downloading a s. being stored as filename+ .aspx instead of filename .apk and its literally just a case of locating file and renaming it.apk and then itll open fine . ur welcome 😁

I have downloaded some apks through downloder on a MI TV Stick but while installing the apps it showes staging app and won't processed with the installation. These apps used to work before reseting the stick

If using a Mi Stick it’s android tv and if you’ve reset it, make sure you’ve enabled developer mode stick itself bud.

I had an issue a while back. When I clicked on the bar to type in the code, It kept jumping out. Basically it wouldn't let me type anything. I got around this by using a OTG adaptor and connecting a mouse.

Im not using a firestick at this time im using the Walmart onn 4k pro streaming box. No issues what so ever .

My issue is this : I open downloader go on the home tab and when I try to input anything in the box it goes straight to "go" (yellow box) and doesn't open the on screen keyboard thus not letting me input anything - completely baffling - I've done a factory reset then reinstalled and exact same happens, I've tried all the force stop clear cache and data, uninstalled, reinstalled and nothing seems to be fixing this issue any help would be greatly appreciated 👍🏻

After opening Downloader for the first time in over two years on my fire stick, it won't allow me to go any further unless I choose to give or don't give permission to move files to a new location, saying that it is to futureproof the OS system. Is this a wise thing to do as Downloader always worked before? Thanks for any help anyone 🙂
